I would completely agree, at times we tend to let others baggage wear us down far too much, it is sad too that the world is filled with so much and so many LOVE to carry it around--the best to you and a joyous new life.
well thank you Maam..it has been 3 years and I am doing very well.I no longer feel the mental weight I once had..I feel healthier, certainly happier, and now I greet each day with a smile...respectfully..Tempting

There is another thread running at the moment that, somewhere between the flames and arrows, is trying to talk about subs/slaves who expect the Dom to fix all their internal issues.  What about the other side?  What about completely useless, waste of oxygen, hauling their baggage around in a Freightliner, losers, who declare themselves Dominant and expect everyone to ignore their flaws?

But still, I carry that spark inside......the positive aspect, my little bit of God......

That keeps saying....."Things can be good, just let go of the armour-and I'll grow.........."

And that makes it all worthwhile.[;)]

[:)] now, that is inspirational!
hugs to......  Caretakr.

jeez, am i letting down my own armour?

catize -> RE: Dysfunctional Dominants (7/23/2006 9:05:14 PM)

Hmmm, there are dysfunctional people who declare themselves dominant and use it as an excuse to abuse others.
Then there are the fairly functional, (usually men), people who declare themselves dominant in the belief they will get lots of sex.
After that come the folks who read a book and decide it might be fun to suspend a submissive from the garage door opener with baling twine.

SweetDommes -> RE: Dysfunctional Dominants (7/23/2006 9:21:48 PM)

While I don't agree that those with baggage and who are disfunctional are "wastes of oxygen" or "losers" ... I did get the gist of what the OP was about, and had absolutely no inkling whatsoever that it was about finances ... so I'm a bit confused as to what brought that into the topic ... but oh well.

To whoever asked about Dominants not being allowed to cry - it's a rather stereotypical misconception that runs about (among Dominants and submissives) that Dominants are not allowed to be sad, or upset, so if they are crying, it had better be tears of joy or they aren't *real* Dominants.  It's like we are expected to be more than human, no matter if we are male or female - that we aren't supposed to show any negative emotion but anger (and some say we aren't even allowed to show that).  I know of some who have shut themselves off emotionally because of this, and they are the most miserable, lonely people I know ... I'd rather have my full range of emotions and be called a fake than to try to live up to some people's expectations of what I *should* be as a Dominant.

what and who were you calling bitch was that really needed?

now there are dom/mes on both sides who has a screw losse and that is scary so but the submissive can say and cry but if a dom/mes do this we are weak or not strong i think it goes around all over just a thought it is too hot to even thinking of writing much today

WyrdRich -> RE: Dysfunctional Dominants (7/24/2006 4:53:58 PM)

SweetDommes,  challenges are not a dysfunction.  I see you as being very straightforward about particular aspects of your situation (CFIDS is a rotten condition).  I don't see you shrieking, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain"

**  Side note to Mistress Hathor:  that's another metaphor in case you think I'm accusing her of secretly filming a play party[:D]

There are just as many Dominant victims out there as submissive ones. Difference being, the tops aren't allowed to cry about it.

Whose rule is this? Doms don't cry? Do you really believe that, or are you saying that is the perception among submissives, that a "real" dom wouldnt cry?

I wouldn't feel trusting of someone unable to cry

While I have had no Dominant..I did have an ex-husband who had sooo much baggage that it would of filled a football stadium..I perservered for 18 years to help empty said bags to make life easier for him as best as I could until one day I realized he loved his baggage,it was what made him..him..it was his crutch, his excuse to never be a better person than who he already was in essence to not have to grow to be a a happier, content man..I am sorry to say after said 18 years I finally could no longer go on...enough was truly enough...be well...Tempting

I just don't cry much.  Is that such a crime?  (Ok, maybe during Hallmark commercials.)

Can't we all just get along? [sm=boohoo.gif]

This spot is too funny as it is!

Do Doms really have to be supersonic? Are slaves really mechanical windup dolls? Humanity- where art thou?

my former master cried... he was also the most heartless, dysfunctional man i have ever had the misfortune to run into.  Yes, he could 'act' THAT good! [&:]  i.e. crying doesn't mean diddlee to me as far as being or not being a sign of dysfunction.

Thats sad. It's too bad people have to hurt each other- it's not right. Good luck to you, angelic.

Sorry for the rest of mankind.

angelic -> RE: Dysfunctional Dominants (7/24/2006 7:16:39 PM)

Thanks Stanton, it's all good.  [:)]
