I wouldn't feel trusting of someone unable to cry
I just don't cry much.  Is that such a crime?  (Ok, maybe during Hallmark commercials.)

Personal tastes,.. some people do not trust those who cannot laugh, cannot give a firm handshake.. I wouldn't want someone controlling me that was unable cry.. that's my right and it is no reflection on anyone else

~fast reply~... i am not sure, but isn't most of the world dysfunctional in one way or another?  Yyour acceptable level of dysfunction may be different than mine.  Just my opinion, of course.

Yes Angelic, that "Leave it to Beaver" show was just that, a show!
I've known doctors who were very respectable in the community who were complete lushes at home.

... you can not get past anything that you won't forgive, whether it is yourself that you need to forgive or others. As long as one continues to stoke the fire of his/her own resentments and wounds, new growth is not possible.

some people just keep going for flames instead of growth; how sad

SweetDommes,  challenges are not a dysfunction.  I see you as being very straightforward about particular aspects of your situation (CFIDS is a rotten condition).  I don't see you shrieking, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain"

I appreciate that sentiment, but personally, I feel pretty darn dysfunctional sometimes.  Right now is a particularly bad time as my CFS has apparently decided to come out of remission.  I have a feeling I won't be doing much more than laying in bed between trying to work for the next few months (unless I'm REALLY lucky and it's a short bout this time).

And I can't shriek "pay no attention ..." that curtain is too small - it doesn't even cover his ..... oh, wait, you don't need to know, do you? [;)]
