Here's some breaking news for YOU:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/12/us/politics/mcconnell-supports-inquiry-of-russian-hacking-during-election.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

I suppose the GOP leadership and Senators are now also left-wingers to you nut jobs.

Noting that “the Russians are not our friends,” Mr. McConnell said that he “strongly condemns” foreign hacking

Speaker Paul D. Ryan, in a statement, was even more forceful and said he supported an investigation in the House as well. “As I’ve said before, any foreign intervention in our elections is entirely unacceptable. And any intervention by Russia is especially problematic because, under President Putin, Russia has been an aggressor that consistently undermines American interests,” the statement said.

Mr. McCain said on Monday that there was “no doubt about the hacking” by Russian intelligence services and called for a wide-ranging investigation by congressional committees into Russian meddling. Mr. McCain called hacking of the Democratic National Committee and related accounts “another form of warfare”

Republican Senators Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Marco Rubio of Florida have both expressed concern about the reports of cyberattacks, as have numerous Democrats.

“Being a ‘friend of Vladimir’ is not an attribute I am hoping for from a #SecretaryOfState” Mr. Rubio wrote in a post on Twitter, an apparent reference to Rex W. Tillerson, the chief executive of Exxon Mobil, who is considered the front-runner to be Mr. Trump’s nominee for secretary of state.

Old news, I already addressed that.

That "old news" is less than a hour old.

So you are then claiming that McConnell, Ryan, McCain, Graham, and Rubio are drama queens crying "Reds everywhere, oh my."

So it's just Trump's and Putin's assess you're kissing, not the GOP?

I'm glad, even as partisan as GOP leaders are, that they are publicly recognizing the concerns here.

Even if the populist Trumptooners aren't.

Strewth. I should have thought that the most childish thing of all would be to rehash old arguments rather than get together as a nation to protect yourself against the clear interference of a country as powerful as Russia in something as vital as your electoral processes. I mean, surely ... this makes Watergate look like chicken feed, doesn't it?

Yes Sir... it definitely does. We'll get it sorted out. Maybe something like this is what we need to bring us all together again.

I didn't say that. I do think it's funny that now that they've done their damnest to break any patriotic spirit here, suddenly they want everyone to be patriotic regarding this situation. Just like children they want their cake and eat it too.

Honestly, i think a lot of Americans like the strength that Putin projects and they've somewhat admired him and want something similar to that kind of projected strength here.

President Trump's election is the gift that just keeps on giving. The left meltdown looks like it will continue for weeks, if not months. I love watching all the excuses for how their precious precious "inevitable" Hillary lost.

Obama, our Commander-In-Chief, who is supposed to develop strategy and defend our security, gutted our manned space program which was developed to BEAT the Russians, turned it over to the Russians and is paying them more than if we ran it ourselves. He also relaxed our technology export control rules to Russia, and finally with Hillary Clinton's insistence (because she was bribed through the Clinton Foundation) sold Russia our uranium mines.

Now these same cretins are telling us that the Russians are our mortal enemies - and that after eight long years of Democrat control, there are suddenly communists everywhere!

COME ON SNL, lets see the skit!!!

Actually, that's the GOP telling you that.

Do they still teach reading in schools?

So, we were going to throw up a rocket crew of 7 or 8 people and defeat the Russkies from space with those people? What is the color code for those war plans, and who devised them?

There is an 11 member panel that advises the president on such thing as uranium sales, and we sold them uranium and had hoped to get plutonium, but the congress has been blocking that. Hillary did not have any more input into the deal than anyone else, and we did not sell them our mines, just some stock.

Other than that, you have a good skit for SNL, when Trump gives them the actual mines.

You aren getting too excited, reading things that I did not write. Slow down.

Think.

Like you alt left wackos, RINOs are also crony globalists, and the Trump Train is plowing right through all of you. Like you, your establishment friends were totally blindsided by the revolution, and they are panicked. They are losing their grip on power, their gravy train is about to be derailed and their swamp is threatened.

I am happy about this, as are most patriots. You joining the neocon chorus in screaming mindless insanity about communist reds blah blah blah, is music to my ears because I know there isn't a damn thing you or anyone else can do to slow the Trump Train down now.

The revolution is here, welcome to the future. Next stop, the Supreme Court nomination process. Choo choo, motherfuckers.

Well no, McConnell controls the Senate still.

We'll see. Things change.

It's just staggering, looked at from this side of the pond. What is patriotism for, if it's not for standing together against a country that's influencing its elections? What does the word even mean, any more?

How many of you were offended when Bin Lauden told people to vote for Kerry, or else?

By 'you', do you mean British people? I'm speaking very much as an outsider looking at the USA. We're kind of reeling over here about this Russian interference issue. The USA isn't reacting the way we've come to expect it might, in short.

That's because we are too busy arguing right vs. left. God forbid we actually have concern for the country. Politics trumps all, or didn't you get the memo?

The most offensive political statement I've ever heard was from the 2000 GOP convention:

"A vote for George W Bush is a vote for God!"

Well the conservatives like Putin and the libs want to see the country destroyed so what else would one expect except overall ambivalece to the whole thing.

From similar geographical distance I d say the USA is hardly taking any of the consequences of this event into serious account - other than more partisan quarrels among themselves which are about the rather irrelevant of these consequences.
