I read that there are eight Somalians on the force; he was the first. There is no quota system anywhere; the Supreme Court has struck that down. You are full of shit.

There are unofficial quota systems everywhere. Dont be a child.

And you know this how? Don't be so smug.

Just as an exercise, I went back through the thread and checked your 15 or so posts to see if you once expressed some regret or compassion for the victim of this sad incident. Guess what! Not once did I find anything even remotely resembling regret or compassion for the victim. Not once did you pay lip service to her unfortunate demise, or even hint or attempt it.

Unsurprisingly, you did find it in your heart to unearth some empathy for the shooter's police partner:
"His partner may have had his hearing ruined for life." (post #35)
So it cannot be said that your empathy deficit is complete.

You also managed to find ways of criticising diversity hiring, AA programs and critics of police killings. Apparently you hold these people and policies at least partially responsible for this woman's death. One can only conclude that your fondness (read: obsession) with guns and gun rights is far closer to your heart than the death of an obviously innocent woman at the hands of the police (another one of your obsessions) whose culpability you have sought to minimise or exonerate at every opportunity.

I hope the above might alert you to the one eyed way you approach and understand some of the issues raised by this case. Your obsessions are blinding you to the facts and causing you to make poor decisions as well as turning you into an emotional freezer. If you are not careful you are going to end up like Bosco, who is not considered by any sane person to be a role model worth emulating. You can do something about it if you so choose. If you don't ... well, choosing to cling to obsessions is rarely a good healthy choice ...

I think you're letting your emotions get away from you and allowing them to overrule thought process. You apparently also seem to think that leftist policies like Afirmative Action and diversity hiring should overrule hiring the most qualified for a job, which, apparently, in this case got a woman killed. It's too bad that you are so willing to sacrifice the life of a woman on your alter of leftist policies. But, then, if you didn't do that you and all of your friends wouldn't have jobs would you?

What a stupid lie. Tweak has never said such a thing. Who the hell are you to think you can put ideas and beliefs on someone and then attack the straw men by saying she is willing to sacrifice a precious life? Wtf? Where is your sense of decency and fair play? Down the drain with your intellect no doubt. [:'(]

m wrong
but you don't offer any other answer for why he thought he didn't have to follow the rules.

You always decide what happened, then you look at the facts to justified you close
minded idiotic views.

BTW you insited I was stuck in the 70's when I told you about programs I ran into in the 90's and beyond. But you believe those programs ended in the 70's so they must have, reality be damned.

Dont misquote anyone ninja its not a nice thing to do. Or say they said something when they did not.
A very small handful of users on here do have an issue with skin colour it does not go unnoticed. As does a small minority of your police force it is called racial profiling and pumping them full of nigger bullets

Anyway back on track with this thread...that reminds me judging by the thread title did boscox start this one?

Whats the latest as this is a very strange case I have never read the likes of it before.

2 year veteran - I swear that was in one of the stories i read.
She called the Police twice
No body cam footage was turned on, even afterwards (why?)
He shot across his partner and out the window as she approached the squad car drivers side in here pyjamas
he may have heard a loud noise or firework

Thats where I am up too and none of it makes any sense.

Could I have been a police officer? Nope. Huwmans can be cruel in many aspects and even I would be tempted to hit a wife/husband/child beater or shoot a pedo etc So I clearly dont have it in me.

A 2 year veteran who's only claim to fame was that he was Somali. That was what he was recognized for. You haven't found the part yet where procedure requires and
attempt to defuse the situation before it progresses to shooting. This case is one where the officer totally screwed up. There has, to this point, been no defense presented
for his actions. 2 years is not as long as it may seem. Also I do not understand how the 2 year man was the senior officer in the car, that seems that someone messed up
before this even happened. There is no presented excuse for what happened here, he completely ignore procedures.

What you do not seem to see is that cops do not want violence any more than anyone else does, every time there is violence it reduces the cops chances to go home .

WickedsDesire -> RE: Black Muslim Refugee Cop Shoots Unarmed White Female Homeowner (7/25/2017 10:40:59 AM)

Thanks for that I know we disagree occasionally :P - well you know me and guns eh! But I am truly toiling even to understand one iota of what happened in this one...i still dont - nothing at all = Zero.

Cops, well a good few, want violence, we all do - we could disagree on that. Even some of the better trained restrained ones will reach saturation point.

I understand the concept of due process.

EG what do you think would happen if I walked in on someone abusing a kid? How about beating a kid? Not feeding a kid etc - the slightly more clear cut examples for me to utilise.

I could never be a cop (policemen/women we call them over here), or social worker :( - but that s just me. I have always been honest about that, my opinions aside

One for Mulder this case?

You shoot across your partner if you, he, both are under direct, or immediate imminent threat. If his aim was a smidgen off, or the car jerked he could have easily blown his partner away - I know you know that aspect.

Stumped on this one to the manner off 100% - wanders off :(

I have but you either do not pay attention or you deliberately ignore what I said. He did indeed follow the rules. The rules here are the same as in any other police involved shooting. If you fear for your life you may fire your weapon. Look at the circumstances. There was a loud noise just as a figure appeared at the driver's window. He was trained to react to a threatening situation and he did. Quite properly and tragically.

Which rules are you talking about? Specifics, please.

Oops he has never claimed he life was in danger.
Can you read?

I have pointed out repeatedly a few of the rules he violated.

He did not turn on his body cam as the required by policy to do when he saw a chance of violence.
And no the partner did not violate this policy because he didn't think there would be violence until
Noor opened fire.
He violated every concept of firearm safety (which he is required to follow) by firing through the drivers space and likely ruining his hearing.
The department has had a policy for over a year to try to defuse any situation , I don't think shooting
the woman counts as defusing the situation, do you? You are the only person who think he followed
procedure even though you have been told what he did wrong by several people.
Why do you think he ignored the rules? And don't hide behind the stupid lie that he didn't do anything
against policy.
Why won't you admit that hands up don't shoot is based on a lie?
And don't attempt to distract again.

Do you even comprehend that "in reasonable fear of my life" allows you or me to use a firearm, that is the basic self defense plea, everyone, cop or not has that defense.

I know this because I've sat on rigged hiring boards for several cities. It's all wink wink nod nod, this is how we'll do it. It's my personal experience which you'll just have to accept. I've also been a consultant proposing for jobs with public agencies. We'd set up a team that included minorities so we could qualify and then be told, privately behind closed doors, that we didn't have the "right kind" of minorities. It's an industry VML. It's not going away. Too many people profit from it.

Even though he didn't hit his partner (who saw no threat) there is a good chance he seriously damaged
his hearing. The man can't be trusted with a firearm let alone a badge.

I did, several times.
Answer mine do you actually think that this shooting is justified? He would have to have reasonable fear of harm, it didn't exist.
If you think he was reasonably defending himself you must think he was justified, nobody, including the chief of police agrees with you.
Of course you know more than the rest of the world put together.
