ORIGINAL: bounty44 "keeping women in the kitchen" greta is a phrase meant to signify the preventing women from living their dreams outside of the traditional role of "women as mothers and housewives." do you remember some weeks ago the left here had conniptions over mike pence's stated policy of never being alone with a woman in a situation where he might be compromised? you were in on that thread. elements of that thread appeared recently, and lucy commented on how pence's position is no more than an attempt "to keep women in the kitchen" and whats more, apparently, that if one didn't see that, it was due to a lack of understanding of feminism. go look here: http://www.collarchat.com/m_5088600/mpage_8/tm.htm Actually, as I think you're pointing out, it's a great way for feministas (male and female) to talk out of their mouths and their asses, at the same time. On the one hand, you have predatory pieces of shit like Lauer, Weinstain, Spacey, ... who truly are abusers of women and obviously shouldn't have been allowed in women's presence behind closed doors. On the other hand, you have a man like Vice President Pence who refuses to be alone, behind closed doors with women so that his reputation can never be impeached. Obviously, he is a misogynist that wants to "keep women in the kitchen". You can't make this stuff up! They want EVERYTHING to be about "patriarchal oppression" and they'll contort themselves in any way they can (including this oral/anal speech) and hope that no one notices how indefensible their "position" actually is. Peace, Michael
