Dear Vancouver_cinful, Ladies and Gentlemen;
Lass, well done for putting this topic up for all to read on.
I know I am not a slender lass like I use to be however, I've had medical and medical drug treatments that just wreck the body. I'm lucky to be walking and that is a fact. But, I agree most hardy, that men have double standards and unfortunately, don't practice standards imposed on others.
Indeed, there are men who seek arm charms. When the lass gets a few pounds she is dumped to the curb and another young lass takes her place. You see a lot of men in this area who are in their 50s who seek only low 20 somethings. How sad for them all.
A good many lads have petitioned my attention. Some lads are in more overweight condition than I, to which cannot handle the tasks of being my slave. I fear they will have heart failure if they work a bit, like hauling my many toy bags. I don't mind a lad a bit overweight really but, I also do not wish to be the one towing them in addition to my own things. I judge the heart and spirit first though. Their package is the last thing on the list but, their health and welfare is always in the front of my concerns.
And, yes Vancouver_cinful, I do see many of the lads, especially dominant men who are first to point out overweighted women but, hide behind a cartoon icon or no photos at all. Perhaps the mental thought that holds weight, no pun intended, is that those who are on the attack of other persons; what they see in them they see in themselves.
Medically, stress causes chemicals to release and causes belly fat on women. So, with all the stress women endure, it is a wonder we've not become much larger. With the weight harassment, that increases stress, perhaps those pointing the fingers should pay for their deeds of giving stress and should be held accountable. Interesting thought to those of the legal minds among the list--would those with intent to add stress on others, be worthy of court jurisprudence. Otherwise, it remains in the court of public opinion.
I briefly tuned into a program with host Tyra Banks, a former model and creator of the show; America's Next Top Model. She wore a fat suit and was shocked, upset and made it known that this was something that overweight people should not have to endure. I totally agree; especially in our community.
