I've never done it before and if a submissive wanted me to do it we'd have to sit down and talk about it.

Do you like to be "surprised" by it or "plan" for it?

Status: offline 		I hate to admit it but a Dom ones slaped me in the face no worning no reason part of play I dont like I dont not like it eather it isnt something I ask for but it isnt a limit it we had never talked about it I got started and decked him hard.... i felt so bad... we both agreed it was an accident ( no disciplinary actions were taken on his part as it was just a reflex and not something I did on perpose) we agreed next time he wanted to slap my face he would lemme know ahead of time...He never did slap my face again though... i wonder why

I am new to this, but so far I think I liked to be surprised. There is something electrifying about it, almost like being shocked, and I like that. Also, having my face caressed before the blow really makes a contrast in sensation. Knowing it is coming is ok though.

Status: offline 		I love it.  Sometimes there is warning, sometimes it is a surprise.  Sometimes just one or two, sometimes a lot. Forehand, back hand, alternative hands one after another...it's all good.

Except when done as a correction (and usually it is more of a nudge then), then it is rather awful and my heart sinks.

Status: offline 		When I was a kid, I was taught never to hit a woman.  Although I didn't foresee where I would end up, at the time I thought that was good advice.

So imagine my surprise when I, before I was 'dominant', met my first submissive woman who kept a secret from me.  She wanted to be slapped.  And yes, the first time I did it I had to guess that her secret I was about to fulfill.  Fortunately my intuition was correct.  Also, the first time I did it I had to get over my own queasiness.  But I did it because (I thought) she wanted it.  I didn't do it every time we were together, but whenever I did, she became much more passionate.

As far as 'technique', I suppose you could say it's generally full-hand, decently hard (not to bruise, but definitely not very soft), and I try to miss the ear.  (Most of the time I succeed.)

If it's a hard, negotiated, limit, then I would not do it, but if it's a 'curiousity factor' or a soft limit, I will introduce it at some point if for no other reason to show that it's really not all that bad.  If it seems to be a turnon, I don't hesitate to continue in the future.  If it's for punishment, I would also do so, in a controlled manner.  (I might have broken my vow of not hitting a woman, but I still manage not to do so in anger.)

And I'm short, so chances are I wouldn't bother trying to aim for the face, I'd aim lower.

Status: offline 		LA is right--face-slapping seems to be one of those things like name-calling and humiliation that some people will just never tolerate.  I personally don't think it's any more or less objectionable than slapping someone on the butt, whipping someone with a single-tail, fucking someone in the ass, or any of the other things we do.  But people have their preferences.  So know your partner well before you start slapping her in the face.
