Well why not my own ancestors came here from elsewhere, they need a home, if they are like so many first generations of immigrants they will work hard pay their taxes and live reasonably normal lives. Of the 10,000 will there be some who are no good? sure their will roughly on the same level as any other group of 10,000people from anywhere else.

Sweet.  They will all get social security numbers and green cards and be welcomed with open arms into the society of legal tax-paying individuals.

True, my father is from Scotland. he came her after WWII to escape poverty in the UK. He had workers at a plant in NJ spit on him and call him names. His wife was from Norway. Both families moved here. My family came here for the same thing in the 1800's. The only problem I have is giving a bunch of aid and money to overseas when there are so many children, women, men that cant pay for medicines or afford food in US. I see so many patients that are working class people and they cant afford or the company doesn't give them insurance.

Wonderful, more immigrants. I wonder how many Americans will lose their jobs to these immigrants. Pretty soon there will be 2000 people competing for 1 job instead of 500 like it is now. And I thought it couldn't get any worse grrr

It isn't limited to Mexicans coming from the South.  I have met Salvadorians, Guatamalians and other countries south of us.

My daddy was a scottish immigrant, along with his parents and four brothers.  Personally, i dun care what ethnicity the newest Americans are; once they are legal and esp after they become citizens, T/they are the same as U/us.

I have no problem with legal immigrants.  They are just trying to make things better for them and their loved ones.  To me, that isn't any different than the parts of my family that came over from Prussia, Scotland, and England in the 1800's.  I for one, am very grateful they did.  Though maybe my family that were Native Americans weren't so crazy about it.[;)]

There are millions of pounds of produce rotting in fields this year because the growers couldn't find enough laborers to harvest these fruits and vegetables during the current immigration crackdown. Unless you spent at least eight hours, today, out in the fields doing the work that these people often risk their lives to get please stop blaming your inability to find work on them.

I have no problem with immigrants trying to better their lives for themselves and their families. My ancestors traveled to America on the Mayflower. (I can't understand why they killed the native americans instead of peacefully sharing the land with them.) The economy was alot different then. The way the job market is now, we can't afford to have immigrants. I'm not prejudiced against immigrants. I just don't want to end up homeless because of them. There aren't enough jobs for everyone.
