I missed the beginning, what happend with Randy Moss?  I'm guessing that's why they were waiting to announce the first pick?

No news yet, Katy. Moss isn't worth a 2nd round pick anymore, I'm thinking....

Redskins take Safety Laron Landry of LSU. He's a Roy Williams-type player, very physical. If he pans out, and Sean Taylor continues his upward trajectory, the Skins would have the best pair of safeties in the league.

Will Minnesota skip Quinn????? I can't even name who their starting QB  is LOL.

I think Quinn thought the same thing.  Shades of last year;s draft and Matt Leinart.

Adrian Peterson goes to the Vikes. If he stays healthy (he'll be playing on a fake turf, notorious for putting the body through a pounding), he'll be a fantastic player.

minnetar, I'm surprised too, but he'll almost certainly end up in Miami now, a good fit for him.

Who will Atlanta take?

Exactly, Katy, but that turned out well for Leinart (so far, at least ).

Patriots fans breath a BIG sigh of relief !!!
I am stunned they didn't take Quinn. But couldn't be happier. That has to be the biggest shocker so far, and the most stupid pick on Miami's part. OTOH.. The loss of Wes Welker must be a pretty big one for them, so from that POV, Ginn is a smart pick.

I wonder what is making teams skiddish to take him.  I kinda feel bad for the kid, he looks so disappointed, but is sayig the right thing when the mic is on him.

DT Amobi Okoye is potentially an excellent pick for Houston; solid character, lot of talent. But I would have got Quinn.

He may fall to Buffalo, or even further.......... again, WOW.

i think Okoye is a great pick him being the youngest player ever drafted.  Hell at 19 he can only get bigger, better, and stronger.

i thought it was nice of the Commissioner to allow Quinn to go to his private suite and not have the cameras continual on him since he has a long wait lol.

Me too, I was feeling badly for him. All the media hype surrounding him and being under the scrutiny of every reporter.

And San Fran passes on him too.

Well he better have tough skin and get used to being under the scrutiny of every reporter and every season ticket holder, and everyone watching on TV and every wacko fan calling Sportstalk radio.....

There is no place to hide when you are a starting QB on an NFL team, you cannot go and hide in the Commissioner's suite. He was there expecting all the glory of a high pick and he sould have stayed on the floor like a man until the first round was over.

and just for the record,

I am a big ND fan and was a big Brady Quinn fan while he was there.

Hmmmm, maybe you answered my earlier question about why teams were skiddish on him. Mental toughness?
Just a thought.
