You can not accuratly discern limits by cyber sex or cyber bdsm. Real life experince is the best way. Floggings sound nice and cozy right, or they can sound downright awfull, but untill you KNOw in person in REAL life, not on a computer screen you will never know that a leather flogger is not as nice to touch as a sued one. you might THINK it is, but you don't know for sure.
