Anyone who expects a politician to be perfect is an idiot. Anyone who thinks a politician in power hasn't compromised his positions to get elected doesn't understand the American system.

Eight years as First Lady, Senatorial experience in NY, and smart as a whip make her a strong, viable candidate.

Irrationally, though, many Americans want to cut her to pieces.

What was great about Bill Clinton is how his reputed lies and corruption --- were investigated to the tune of about $55 million dollars by Ken Star, and all he could come up with was an extra marital affair.

Whoever the next President is will have to clean up quite a mess in both foreign policy and a domestic budget gone wildly out of control.

So where do you draw the line between being a mindless robot that serves only certain constituencies based upon their power within a key congressional district, and having some conviction with which you stand by?

This ultimately is the judgement call that again ALL sides will have to make.
Those who nominate the candidate, those who vote in what I believe is the admirable idea of primary elections and ultimately the electorate at large.

You clearly have already made that decision. Nothing wrong with that.

I've got not problems with the idea of a Woman President.  But I dont think the World is ready for us to have one.  Course I've never liked Hillary to begin with....................

Leave it to the Dems to fuck up a perfectly good ticket.  This is their GOLDEN opportunity.  If they were not stupid about it the election would be handed to them on a platter... But then they have to consider that dumbass.  Did they not learn from Kerry?  They practically owned the election in 2004, but they completely screwed up by dragging some complete loser out from under a rock.  Bush would have been history if they had a good candidate, absolutely no doubt about it.  People did not vote Bush.  They voted against Kerry.

Man oh man.  They need to get their act together if they ever hope to take the Whitehouse any time soon.

I know its a bit of a novelty for a representative to champion the views of his/her constituents. Boom Boom !

I'm certainly no fan of Hilary, but I can't argue with your point here.

Populist politicians are the ones to be feared most because you don't know what you are voting for and they are the type to start wars to boost their popularity because the herd backs leaders at war.

That's kind of how this Democrat feels too. I'd hate to see us blow our chance by nominating a candidate who seems way too polarizing to make it.

Most of the Republicans who lost their jobs last election lost them because they failed to cater to their constituents.

They are called representatives for a reason.

I'll probably vote for Hillary Clinton because I know my grandmother would if she was still alive. Bill Clinton did alot of good things when he was in office like protecting social security for the elderly and refusing to pass the no call list (which Bush did pass) because it would (and did) cause alot of call center workers to become unemployed. The one mistake Bill Clinton did make was cutting off aid to college students in the Welfare Reform. If more parents had college degrees they would have better paying jobs and be able to finance college for their own children, which would ultimately cut the need for welfare without anyone suffering. Other than that one mistake, Bill Clinton was a good president and I'm sure his wife would be too. At least she's wanting to do something about the healthcare problem.

I'm not sure how much Clinton or any other politician has "protected" Social Security.... it's a hard rain gonna fall when everything comes due.

I'd like to see a presidential canidate that wants to ban outsourcing, raise the minimum wage, stop inflation, give welfare back to college students (because they aren't bums and are actually trying to improve themselves), and reform the healthcare system. That is where the money should be going. I hate terrorists, but terrorism will never be completely stopped. It's too widespread. Does such a canidate exist?

I dont like her either, but something might just bring shiver to my spine. While having a coffee in Mannheim, Germany in 2001 (cpl months before September 11) with some friends, I spoke out that Hillary Clinton will be America's next president. I didn't know why I said it, and the entire rest of the conversation went on eventless...

I just hope this doesn't come true, or I will have to hope I keep my big mouth shut more often.

In my twisted mind I think to myself of all the government study on feminine hygiene and birth control products there will be if she becomes President...  Or a dramatic surge in Womyn's (sic) Liberation...  Or her period comes and she invades Syria or something.

haha.  I am so evil.    I need to find something more constructive to do with my time.
