You know i have sat here at my desk ( my desk sits in between Scooter and Jewels, it is a large office) and watched Jewel open her email while i open mine.
I've seen the messages from both male and female subs she receives daily that range from a nice "Good morning" to an obnoxious "spank my naughty ass" with vivid photos of said ass down to the brown ring of their ass holes. (side note here; we just love these at 6 am when we are having tea and toast together, NOT!)
I've watched her spend hours writing and answering emails, trusting that there is a real live human being on the other side of the screen.
We've had daily discussions about the pros and cons of each individual, thought up careful questions pertaining to their particular situation, wants and needs.
I've seen her progress to IM's and phone calls, even get to the point recently of helping somebody replace a phone they lost to a bad electrical storm so they could keep talking.(In this persons defense they did not ask for this but they had been talking daily and the calls had become important to Jewel). Only to suddenly stop even opening Jewel's emails no explanation offered.
So i can honestly say that Jewel as an individual and all of us as a group(ScooterTrash, ShiftedJewel and me, twicehappy) have always given the benefit of the doubt and then some.
We have made friends, some have showed up to visit (A special big hug and hello to JustDucky and Mistoferin here) and big hugs to quite a few others as well.
Then there are those who go through all the motions, we start feeling like there may be something possible. Yet time after time after time these folks just disappear. No explanation, no nothing.
They were using Jewel to fulfill a fantasy, when reality came to call they moved on.
They do not stop and think "Hey, there is a real live human being on the other side of the screen, that voice on the phone might actually be attached to a fragile human heart, the person i am using to wank off on has feelings that are going to be hurt when i am done here".
Keep giving everybody the benefit of the doubt?
Maybe if you have a heart of stone.
Oh yeah, it hurts, it affects you.
Even when logically you KNOW it is not you. When you know these folks that pull this shit are just wankers, it still affects you.
You still take a blow and ask yourself "what is wrong with me?"
We are to the point where we believe them, or we will, when they actually make it to the front door.
As to the excuse"i do not want to come and end up having no where to go" well we've had two males here who did not work out. Both of them stayed here as long as they needed to get on their feet.
One of whom they even made his car and insurance payments for a month ahead so he would have a car.(btw, this one ripped me off for around $8000.00 all told by using my bank card numbers and stolen checks.)
The other we just adore. He came back for Xmas, yes we bought him gifts, he came back for New Years and his parents are visiting again soon.
It's not that hard. Really.
Just show up. Or be honest and remain friends.
I flew 2000+ miles to get here.
So yes, there are these threads every damn week. Maybe there's a reason.
