As well, most of the time the ones who start such threads could very easily be accused of being a player and a dork in their own right. While that may add a tinge of irony to the dynamic, it really doesn't add anything to make it worth repeating.

What about the Doms who have several different profiles here and are not truthful in any of them? Why is it that men lie so much about their age? Have met with two Doms and both claimed to be 58 when they are really 68. One even claims to be single and was using the name of CaringMaster, then SugarDaddy, etc., but he loves to give pain and severe bruises. He also enjoys having many different subs to call upon while He tells each they are the only one. That one can't make up His mind about much of anything. Tired of being strung along and then when the girl signs in His photo pops up with yet another profile.

Oh Hell, Where to start about this one.
Yes, I have encountered a few of these so called fake creatures. I suspect there are a greater amount of wanna be men (Dom/sub) types on here, followed by wanna be female subs. However, to combat this...

I started using the Message boards for more then one reason. Like I always say, give me a reason, then give more more then one reason to do something, I'm right on it. Not only are the message boards a great place to exchange thoughts, advice and ideas. It's a great place to put more of yourself out there to other people. There are many people that just come here to read. You'll be amazed that the more you post about yourself on here. That sooner or later somebody will come along and respond to your profile. Plus most people taking the time to read the message boards are people with a sincere interest in BDSM. Not some wanna be poser trolling through profiles, or wanna be that's stuck up only a profile.

The Chat rooms here are great as well, depending upon the room and time of day. You can get to know people, and they can get to know you. Anybody that has an interest in you, will pull up your profile. If they like what they read, then chances are you might finding yourself in Private Message chat or getting a message from them.

The real people on here tend to have real interest and real interaction. A few here and there don't use these features.

Because of so many posers out there, people can get to know something about you from your posts on the MBs here. They get a peak at who and what you are all about, how you interact with other people and your mindset. It's so much better compared to words on a profile. They get to see how you interact.

Hope this helps some... it's the only thing I can share with you, in how to combat the fakes and wanna be ones.

Your online there are real people here ....and just like any other online web page there are fakes/flakes/wannabees/idots ect. It is just the way of the web.

It seems to me as though the OP is condemning people for not falling at her/their feet, trala. And those who do not are fake, or wannabes. Well, did all the rest of you wake up one morning experienced and knowledgable with a full complement of toys and accoutrements? I've never actually done anything in real life yet, and I'm not going to till I find someone for whom that is a valuable thing, and who can demonstrate that I have value to him or her. I will not submit simply for the sake of submitting, or experience, and I won't go crawling after any random person who claims to be dominant. If that makes me fake, then I'll go get a bottle of imitation vanilla and dab some on me.
