It's interesting they can do that, IMO, but I doubt they'll waste their time on ordinary citizens, is all I am saying. Unless of course you are a major heroin dealer, or something, I'd not worry too much. It may be annoying, even slightly scary, but - it is highly unlikely, IMO, to become a major concrete threat to all ordinary citizens in the near future. It is a fact we are still in the early childhood of the Information Age, IMO, and it will take years, and perhaps decades, to work out any "privacy issues" in the courts, that affect everyday citizens. I am sure there will be "ups" and "downs" as the wrinkles get ironed out. But personally, I think: Don't worry. If major things happen, IMO, like insurance companies being able to monitor who is likely to develop which diseases based on things like genetic profiles, etc. ordinary citizens will be so up in arms and calling their Federal reps, they'll get so scared for their jobs it will make a definite, and measurable impact re: The outcome. Besides, cable tv channels are already dying for stuff to program (ever notice how many of them seem to follow eachother's news leads, sometimes?) If you experience something you think is unfair or completely mis-guided, in your opinion, as far as them infringing on your personal privacy - call one of them, even a local one. They'll probably be so happy to hear from you, theyll buy you dinner, IMO. - Susan
