My absolute favorites.. the ones that approach with things like:

u can have my wallet and blackmail me, or I can buy you amazon gift certificates if you're dominating enough (I can't help but chuckle.. there's TOO much wrong with this.. just too much)

the ones that offer to show me themselves wanking off (gee.. thanks.......)

the ones that offer service for a day.. or a few days (while in town... ) when I've stated SEEKING LONG TERM SERVICE ONLY

and most of all.. FORM LETTERS!!

OH.. how could I forget...

subs that approach... as Doms!!!  The profile says Dominant, but they are obvious subs.

I've been getting that a LOT lately.

hmm.

99.9% of the men who label themselves male subs don't have half a clue. I don't think I've talked to any guy on this site who wasn't one or more of the things above.

i'm not sure if i'm one of these mythical "real" submissives, i just tend to try to find some common ground when approaching a Dominant. i read through Their profile and if i believe that we might match then i send an initial email saying so and describing myself somewhat.

One response i received was interesting because it said that i shouldn't ask questions without being given permission to do so and i'm interested in hearing the opinion of any Dommes who would offer it. Is it acceptable to ask questions in a first contact email? Nothing sexual obviously, more like "Your profile says you live in Canada, do You mind if i ask which part of Canada?"

One thing that bugs me (once you get past the initial contact) is an email that doesn't say anything about who they are. I've had emails in which they talk about what they like in BDSM but telling me nothing about them. I'm not interested in meeting a dickhead, I want to meet a whole person. Also, those emails which don't ask any questions, or give me one single thing to reply to. If I feel I'm expected to begin and maintain the conversation by myself I will choose someone else to put the effort into. If nothing else I can just go back to talking to myself.

If you don't ask questions you seem uninterested. Asking her if she is in the same city you are is practical. Asking for her phone number right away flashes a neon Potential Stalker sign. To me at least.

My turn off is that not enough of them approach me.  As a "wanna be" Dom I am looking to find someone to learn and grow with.  Unfortunately, most of them want an Experienced Dom.  LOL What ever shall I do?... I know I will put a little happy go lucky emoticon that waves to them.

Dear RW alone in the forest.

Do you really think women are the only ones who tell lies and fling BS? PLEASE!!! You've been in the forest so long you can't see for the trees. Either put some effort into looking or stop trying, make a decision based on how much you really want this. I've had zero luck in finding any sincere male after years of looking but I'm still looking, not hiding away and bitching. I bitch right out in the open. :)

Of course you should ask questions, especially if you want to sound like a gentleman interested in this particular lady.
The questions should be of a gentlemanly nature; you should be at least willing to offer as much information about yourself; and as polite as you would address someone you care for/about and respect...  I you cannot find it within yourself to offer initial decent human being benefit of the doubt, there's little point in writing at all.   M

There are plenty of sincere males out there.  They're just probably just not what you're looking for, example too fat, too short, bald, etc.....But don't lower your standards, just keep looking.

A submissive approach that I hate is stuff like their first message is "Master I want you to own me" and then they never even msg you back after that.  I mean damn, take some time to get to know somebody before you decide to commit yourself to slavery or blow someone off.

Fat and bald are things I dont mind. I'm not Barbie and I'm not looking for Ken. I'd like to find a guy who wants to find me. So far none have been really interested in finding out who I am. They all just want to tell me about their kinks. Like I care.

Thank You Ma'am, those are my feelings exactly, which is why i felt it was strange to be told not to ask questions without permission.

Do you honestly believe everything being written or said by females soliciting on this site are incapable of disingenuousness embellishment or out and out lies? If so, you welcome to read my e-mail.

I've been contacted by primarily (mostly, but not all)... People looking for FWB aka Five Minute Friends, the Hi Im Married But Please Dont Tell My Wife and Hello Im the King of One Liners.  Truly wish those types wouldn't waste O/our time :P  None of us is a perfect being.. yes.. some look like Barbie and Ken and some of us look more like Homer Simpson.. But just because the outside of the eggshell is pretty doesn't mean that the bird inside of it is alive, if that makes any sense.  Those who think they are THE best.. just disgusts Me.

Okay.. Feel free to insert some good and nasty comments below :)

Wonderful posts Laura, I used to wonder if I was the only one on here that ran into this!
I am serious, 98% of most of the men that have approached me fall into the categories you describe.

BUT, don't give up, I think I am talking to someone that falls into that 2%, it only took 2 years!
Hang in there!

You need to re-read her post ... she asked if the poster really thought that it was only females who handed out lies and crap (since he said that is why submissive males go into hiding).  I posted a similar response to that poster ... and was ignored by him, as was she ... I'm beginning to think (ok, I'm beyond "beginning" ... but whatever) that the poster in question, who started the whole 'hiding in the forest' thing, was just being a jackass to stir up trouble.
