Oh ok, so because i am not willing to buy into the bs that they have been spewing, means i don't care about ecology. Wow, that is amazing. And by my one post, you know enough about me to suggest i change my avitar. Well, i hate to burst your little bubble, but you don't know squat about me and i like my avitar so it's staying.

i am curious, since you seem to be so enviromentally concerned here....What do you do to help? Do you recycle? (oh and i don't mean dump some trash in one bin and your papers and can in another. i mean really recycle all your cardboard, plastice, metal and glass) Do you car pool? Drive a smaller car? Just what is it you do to make our world a better place?

why is it so hard to believe that this has happened before that the earth has gone thruogh many cycles of heating and cooling and that the sun is responsible.  Why do we insist on relying on science which is not only disputed in this case but has been blatently wrong in the past-  take salt which in three separate decades was good, bad , then good.  or fat which changed to transfat, or saccarin which caused cancer then wait it doesnt ; or silicon implants which caused everything under the sun until its now been proved it didnt.   how about how our view of certain dinosaurs has changed and we even lost a planet.

besides one big volcano can cool the earths temerature off by two degrees which im sure is one of mother natures safty valves.

Well, ya, but they said it was true on the tv and if they say it's true on the tv, don't that mean it's true?

Dr William Gray from the University of Colorado also says Global Warming is a scam. He is considered the world's most respected expert on tropical weather systems. The majority of meterologists also disagree with the global warming theory.

So Gore's claim that there is no scientific disagreement is incorrect and propaganda. There are plenty of scientists going on the record that are now starting to conduct their own studies on global warming and they are finding alternate explainations.

Scientific theories are either supported or rejected. They are never proven. That's the first rule of the scientific method.

There are certain things that dont seem to fit the theory. For instance, between 900 and 1300 AD the earth was several degrees warmer than it is today. There was no increase in flooding. There have been fossils found of tropical plants in Antartica. Which suggests that this planet use to be much hotter than it is today. So the world isn't "sick" like Gore thinks. The world is simply going through cycles.
Also consider the fact that our satillites have not recored an increase in atmospheric temperature in 25 years.

There is also little debate among scientists that the earth will again:
1. Go through another ice age. (overdue)
2. Go through a magnetic polar shift. (overdue)
3. Be impacted by a doomesday comet or asteroid. (overdue)

All three things are beyond our control and in the hands of god. And all 3 will have a devastating effect on every lifeform on earth.  We as humans have been on this planet for a blink compared to the age of the earth. This planet is 4.5 billion years old. We have no idea what it is doing. And to think we can claim that a warming trend of just the past 100 years is evidence that the world is going to end 50 years from now is completely stupid.

they would have us focus on something that might not happen for 200 to 1000 years and ignore a coming financial catastrophe when social security cant pay for itself.  we could fix it right now but every month and year that goes by makes the solution that much more painful.  id trade mly social security right now for the aiblity to invest just two percent!

Actually you have posted to My posts before...

Perhaps I pushed a few buttons a little too close for comfort?

Did we get up on the defensive emotional side of the bed rather than the logical side this morning?

The fact that you are willing to risk  generations' futures speaks volumes to many.

Yes I recycle computers..on a pesonal level to those less fortunate....families that can not afford them..handicapped and elderly.

Computer waste is one of the largest things headed to the dump all so people can hav the latest greatest in tech

Do you know just how much lead is involved in a monitor?

Did you know there are thrift shops like salvation army and good will that will not take them as donations as there is no money to be made from them?

Did you know that they also do not pick up from certain urban zipcodes as they deem the donations from those areas trash?

Aso the help and management they have go thru the good stuff and load them into their cars for personal use before it reaches the shelves?

I drive a nondiscrip car and regularly record My gas mildage...My schedule however prohibits car pooling..I use to ride My 68 650 Bonniville Triumph...

I am looking into solr panels(again) for roof placement and an offline generator

I have looked into using runoff from the roof and gutters to water My plants, ferns, hostas, and vegatables this season.

I have used under ground irrigation which is more efficient than spraying and having evaporation take part of it

I have made a greenhouse using rebar to loop plastric pvc into hoops looking like a hanger, covering with clear palstic...with a thermostat hooked up to a solar panel and a vent motor from an old dodge van to exhaust heat when it hits over 100 degrees...

this was lined with plastic gallon milk bottles to retain the sun's heat and warm the soil at night producing tomatoes over 3 foot tall by Memorial day....that people came miles around to see...and it did not look like a hillbilly's et up...not that there is anything wrong with that....

Guess years of readinjg Whole Earh catalog, Morth Earth News and a few others in the 70's gave Me a good comprehension of how volitile and fragile the eco system is...regardless of what political affiliation said it.

But enough about Me...what about you?

I think you might be more good in helping those in Africa rather than making statements that are tastless.

Why don't you do dsomething with good taste like donating yourself?

Ever see the movie Soylent Green?

If you're going to invoke Harrison, then isn't the "To The Stars" trilogy more appropriate?
