i do not agree that most Doms/Dommes deserve to be called Ma'am or Sir upon first meeting or first contact via email.
Respect is earned not given.
if You demand respect You are not a Master, Mistress, Sir or Ma'am unless You own said sub/slave, and will more than likely meet with resistance from a sub/slave if You don't own them and they will have that right.
You need to Master Yourself before You can Master another, and if a sub or slave has something in their profile You don't like, move on and find one that You feel will be right for You.
i honestly don't see how they will get in trouble for not being a doormat and calling a Dom Sir or a Domme Ma'am.
i am no doormat but do believe in respect.

When i saw this i damn near fell out of my chair laughing because subs and slaves have brains and know what they will and will not put up with, however the difference between a sub and slave is that a slave has no rights except that which her owner gives her and that which He gives HE can also take.
i know that the Master i am speaking with does not wish me to be a doormat, He wishes me to think for myself but also wants me to remember my place as a slave.
subs are by no means doormats, and have that fire in their belly to serve but have limits and own things...therefore they can say "I will NOT be a doormat."
slaves are not doormats, but that fire to serve burns deeper than any can imagine and they'd do anything their Master said because they have no limits except that which their Master places on them and again they own nothing.
i do not know many Masters mind You that want a doormat for a slave and prefer their slaves to have some spunk in them, as long as they remember their place as a slave, and when they forget they are quickly reminded.
