Dom search / life partner or D/s partner

Status: offline 		Not withstanding other issues such as your age, sex, experience etc; what do you as a submissive seek as a primarely goal?
As is true most of the time this inquiery is fostered by reading profiles of many, not all, of respondes to various thread here on CM as well as other sites that I visit at times.

Is a life partner foremost in your search at the expense of other issues; or are the aspects of a very nice D/s fit are what riings your chime?

Status: offline 		If it's a choice between a nice D/s fit and a life partner, I'd have to pick a nice D/s fit.  It is my hope to find these (life partner plus nice D/s fit) embodied in the same person at some time along my journey.  I'm not convinced this is possible for me.  And I know it's difficult to find.  I have had success in finding a nice D/s fit, though, so I do know that part is possible.

Status: offline 		my short-term goal was for a mutually compatable top for occassional beat and fuck sessions that would also be a friend(so i guess that means friends with benefits)...

it was my short term goal because it's more realistic based on the amount of time i have, my location and my needs/desires(i'm human and wanted to deal with the needs first)...

my long term goal is for a lifetime d/s relationship/life-partner.

Status: offline 		I was looking for a fit in both D's and vanilla. So far so good with Sir. Not perfection but compatibility in many aspects.

Is it that life long sharing of air 24/7 or is it someone who you would like to be a part of your life long term? 
Why I ask is because age does have something to do with it, at least for me. 
I've had a life partner ... ooops and I've raised my UM's,  I'm not so ready to share air in such a legal
manner again so life partner to me is different then what some may think. 
With that said, I want it all.  grin..............

edited to add being alone is better then being together and alone,, even if you have to learn to flog yourself!

I look for the same, and found it in both my boys, though with different interpretations of life partner.

I feel the same way.  I am nearly 50 and can't see any benefit in trying myself legally to another person.  Although I am open to committing to a long term relationship.

Status: offline 		I've tried settling...I've tried casual reationships just to get a beat and fuck..both just leave me empty and unfulfilled...I find being alone is a lot less lonely than being with someone who leaves you yearning for more.

So, I want it all...I waited a long time to find the kind of partner I'm sharing my life with now...and it was sure worth the wait, no question...

That pretty much sums it up; all or nothing. I'd be highly unhappy with someone who only meets one need and not the other. Not sure if I would use the term "life partner" though since I don't believe anything is meant to last forever.
