Status: offline 		Kittin, I am hearing just the opposit. Of course we all hear what we want to hear don't we? But the truth is, many social conseratives were staying home in November and now they are not. In fact, her support of her daughter even strengthens the vote of social conseratives.

BTW... you were the wone that brought free condoms into the mix, not me and I just pointed out that not only do condoms, free or otherwise, not work, I gave a specific example of where and how they were not working.

Wrong FDD,condoms do work,both in preventing pregnencys and the transference of STD's.And what you gave was an example of your own anecdotal experience...nothing specific at all.

OK, point to you, but you did say she could have probably used a free condom and my point is, teenagers don't use them for the most part, and even when they do, they don't always.

I am saying that free condoms do not stop most, and that for the most part, teenagers just don't use them.

I will assume you're point would have been they don't allways work?...Well FDD when there not available(which is the real issue here)they absolutely positively never work....now thats logic!!!

Status: offline 		I think McCain knows that Palin will have to drop out sooner or later with all the media-friendly controversies she carries with her (he knew about it all during the vesting process...and knows how to "spin" that fact away to his advantage).  Even if Palin isn't the VP candidate by November, McCain will be seen as a hero by picking a woman--during an election bristling with resentment over "women candidates for President" mess. 

One OLD friend of mine told me, don't mess with the old guys, they got a load of tricks up their sleeves.

Status: offline 		So, after one major decision by each candidate, it stacks up as

1. A carefully-thought out pick with a lot of experience, decided on only after a very thorough vetting.
2. A political hail-mary who hadn't been vetted in any meaningful way and whom the candidate had only met once or twice.

I think that sums up pretty well what kind of leader both Obama and McCain would be if they win.  I'm voting for #1.  I've had enough of #2 the last 8 years.

If you say Birth control education and free condoms and counseling work, then I get to show where, and how they don't AND, I said it also breaks along income/class levels, where poor = free birth control  = free condoms= teenage pregnancy out of control. Don't shoot the messenger. If free condoms worked, that issue in that community would not exist.
