Just curious as to how many BBW's there are out here and what their experiences have been like. Good or bad. Or any advice that you might wish to share would be awsome.

In the same thought. how about you BHM? I wouldn't want to leave you gorgeous guys out,lol. Anything you have to say would be just as valuable.

As my picture clearly shows, I am a Big Beautiful Woman. My voluptuous curves are quite sexy and desirable to many submissive men. And fabulous cleavage is the best accessory. I think that if I were less confident and happy with myself I might be more apt to be self conscious about my outer appearance, but that's true with anyone, no matter what their dress size. IMO, sexuality and sensuality radiate from the inside out and the more attractive and confident you feel, the more attractive and confident you appear to be.

Ask me as a woman how my experiences have been. Ask me as a woman if my experiences have been good or bad. I am a big woman, I dont know about the "beautiful" part. I know that I have met some bbw's that the "beautiful" in the bBw did not apply. Just as I have met some women who call themselves bbw where the "big" in the Bbw did not apply. I am a little uncomfortable with the singling out of BBW's for this question. We are all women. Some of us have had great experiences and others have had bad. But the point is, whether one is BBW shouldnt even matter as far as the question goes, in my opinion.

First of all I must preface my statment because if I don't your going to look at my post very negitavly. I love women with the dress size of 8 to 16. Some would call women in that category BBW.

Now for the part you are not going to like:

I hate the acronym BBW ! It has somehow justified a lazy and "i have given up" or "I am what I am" attitude. No other term or view of one's self has been more distructive to a woman's overall view of her self.

When I hear the BBW being used I think she is saying, "I am a lazy fat ass that has given up".

size 8 to 16 are concidered by todays standards to be normal to small in size.

We are the size we are. Bodies are wonderful playthings, and each of us will entice someone (or someones) who appreciate our particular set of charms. Large, small, round, tall, each of us is perfect for who and what we are. BBW or LTS (Long Tall Sally), there is a place for all of us.

Excuse me, but exactly HOW does "I am proud of myself, and satisfied with the person that I am, inside or out, regardless of your ignorant opinions." translate to having "given up" and how, pray tell, is it "destructive" of a woman's overall view of herself to be PROUD of the body that she was given, inhabit it joyfully and eagerly, and relish the opportunity to express herself in it in -any- way that she prefers???

I agree... Unless you are describing me for a police report, or perhaps when my body is being donated to science after I've died, or unless you don't know me personally at all and are trying to find me in a crowd and don't know what I'm wearing or anything else about my personal appearance, I don't consider my size (large or small) to be the most relevant descriptive of who and what I am.

Any Store that makes Big Womans/Mens Clothes will attest to this Fact.
Their sizes usually start at 18 and go up to 52 and beyond

Any Store that Does not cater to Big Womans/Mens clothes will also attest to this Fact.
Their sizes usually start at 0 and go up to 16 with sum being bold enough to hold
a few 18s on occation.

Being a Woman who is 6Ft and 300lbs I can My self attest to such a fact as well.......
But any who know Me know this fact allready as I have such information on My profile.

First I'm going to answer the OP's question.

Since actually accepting me for who I am, I've had a lot of good luck. There will always be people out there who do not like bigger women and who feel they need to express that view to the rest of the world but I don't let them get to me anymore.

As for the other comment about BBW's being lazy and giving up on themselves I give you something to ponder.

I am a BBW. I am not a BBW by choice and have been trying to lose weight for god knows how long. I've been on WW, going to the gym, changing my eating habits, been to a nutritionist, anything you can think of, I've done it. I am in no way lazy or have given up on myself.
I do, however, have a condition that makes me retain weight. I have PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome. The condition makes you over produce insulin and fucks up your sugar pretty good. It also makes you retain weight around the middle. I was on medication for it but it wasn't doing anything. My doctor tried to get me to have my monthly menstrual cycle but that didn't work either.
There is nothing at this point that I can do to make myself lose any more than about 10 pounds. It sucks and I hate it.

Not everyone is fat because they over eat. Not everyone is fat because they want to be, have given up or are lazy.
There are some people who are that way but to put as all in the same category is just ignorance.

Like the other women have said, I don't like the term BBW. I never heard that until I started going on the internet, but I guess it's better then lardass.

I have always been overweight to one degree or another. I have always had men want me so it hasn't had a negative side in that regards. I don't like being overweight and am really working on it since meeting my Dom. He does love me for who I am, but he wants me healthy and comfortable with my body. He knows the weight makes me very uncomfortable and he has promised to help me get it off once and for all. He has said that we won't give a number on what I "should weigh," but when I can say I feel good about my weight then we will know that I will have accomplised the goal for myself.

You have to understand something, I did not call women over size 16 a bunch of fat slobs. I hate of the term BBW are for those who use the term to give up and say, "I'm lazy and I don't care" or "I'm just one of them. then go back to eating cheesecake and bon bons.

Your size and shape does not matter to me, however if you give up and get lazy who are you hurting ?

let stop being so defensive, if your truly at peace with your self why do you need labels like BBW or need to be so vigilant ?

Those are a few I found without having to look too hard. CBS news even reported that 65% of Americans are now overweight...so it's not just the gals who need the larger sizes. Also, according to the garmet industry those sizes do not equate with sizes from the 1940's. A size 8 from today is much larger than a size 8 from that era.

I'd have to say she was pretty much dead on with that statement.

Same here. I personally hate labels of any kind, no matter what they are ( BBW, thin, skinny, model material...caucasion, white, black, african american...pfft...labels are EVIL EVIL EVIL ) The only use I can see for a label is to distinguish oneself above or below another.

On that same note...why does a person feel the need to label themselves in ANY way? Not being sarcastic...generally curious

I think BBW is almost impossible to define, especially by dress sizes. I'm 5'9 and fluctuate between size 12 and size 16. When I've been a 16, I dont feel as good energy-wise, but I never considered myself a BBW. Maybe some would.
