The poster is an expert because she has her agenda driven web sites.   Which really are not too impressive.

And you don't have your own agenda-driven websites?

PrisonPlanet is amazingly impressive.

My links do NOT count.

This because no one ever looks at them.

The Northeastern state's in this country already has a "pact" with each other to help reduce greenhouse gase's.Of course, the Northeast is also probaly the most advanced area in this country.Hopefully, the rest of this country get's it.Remember, the "right" dosen't believe in science, their science come's from religion. This country with it's hard rightwing Christian's,can be just as dangerous as the Taliban.

Charles, please do me a favor before I have to start tearing my hair out.

Can you look up the difference between plural and possessive?

Reading all these posts it occurred to me that the wrong topic is under consideration ....

Not "Wannabe GOP chair: "God will protect us from climate change" but:

Will God protect the world from the GOP? (assuming of course that God exists but that's another thread...)

Planets, and the people who inhabit them, need recovery time from periods of sustained intense abuse. We haven't had enough recovery time from the GOP's last offering (a certain G W Bush). My personal estimate is that it will take at least several generations, probably far longer in regions like the Middle East to recover from the damage that cowboy inflicted on us all. Please note that i am an optimist .... so my estimates could well be a bit generous.

IMO-  there is such a thing as pollution.

I do think tho- that a rush to a Global Carbon Tax is a bad thing.

And now the arrogant prick is making the rounds of the talk shows to promote his book and let everyone know that everything he did was right.

Well if we are going to talk about wars. According to many environmental activists, the war in Lebanon and Iraq identifies itself as the worst environmental disasters in history. The magnitude of the oil spills will kill more people in future years, due to environmental impact than the actual bombing during those wars.
Even if every industry, every household and every car was to stop emitting harmful gases, according to our environmental scientists, the military will still be producing enough greenhouse gases to endanger our world’s future.
Perhaps peace may be the only solution to global warming

Ok-   take the population of  US/UK/CA/EU/AUS.

Now figure the western standard of living.

Factor in  China and India and their population.      So 3x the number of people want the consumption standard of living.

There in lies the problem.

Are you willing to give up   2/3 of your comforts?

Seriously.  Would you give up you comforts?

There have been three separate independent investigations going through all the East Anglia emails that were illegally hacked, and none of them found anything substantive against the science.

Nonsense.

Putting aside the omissions and redundancies that you make in your post, the assumption that any increase in Chinese and Indian living standards can only be made at the cost of a corresponding decrease in Western living standards is nonsensical. For example, for your claim to have any validity, it requires assuming that the amount of wealth involved is static, that it's all a zero sum game - an impossible state of affairs.

So it's not a question of giving up 2/3 of our comforts but giving up all of our intelligence to take your ridiculous claim seriously.

Then why are we in 2 endless wars?

I suppose this is a ridiculous claim too.   LOL  funny lady.

The problem is that most of the people making the laws and most of the people here could't pass an introductory-level course in "Physycal and chemical oceanography, meterology and atmospheric chemistry" course if their life depended on it.

The US is involved in "2 endless wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan. Not with China and India. So the relevance of your question to this discussion is zero.

Therefore, yes it is another ridiculous claim. I'm so glad we have found something to agree on. I wasn't expecting it!

Tweak, I am afraid you have no grasp of reality.

You hit the jackpot! 3 out of 3 ridiculous claims in a row! Well done!

I suppose I should respect the consistency if nothing else. And the phrase "nothing else" seems so apt here ......

You will be disappointed if you expect me to respond to your silliness any more.

Please enjoy your life and accept my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Love to all!

Global warming is nothing but a scam to lob an extra tax on everything I touch.  Such a tax goes to Goldman Sachs.

I am against any type of carbon tax.

Read this weekend where scientists had taken the temp of ocean water off of greenland..guess what....40 degrees....Now, I do realize climates on earth are ever changing but there has been no documented time when climates have reversed course so quickly. I wonder what the missing ingredient has been in this quick turn of temps? lol....Come on Pa.
