Ok-   take the population of  US/UK/CA/EU/AUS.

Now figure the western standard of living.

Factor in  China and India and their population.      So 3x the number of people want the consumption standard of living.

There in lies the problem.

Are you willing to give up   2/3 of your comforts?

Seriously.  Would you give up you comforts?

So wealth and resources are a zero sum game? Do you have any proof of this?

The Northeastern state's in this country already has a "pact" with each other to help reduce greenhouse gase's.Of course, the Northeast is also probaly the most advanced area in this country.Hopefully, the rest of this country get's it.Remember, the "right" dosen't believe in science, their science come's from religion. This country with it's hard rightwing Christian's,can be just as dangerous as the Taliban.

Not really true. California leads the nation now and probably forever on dealing with air pollution. Most of the regs in the Northeast have their base in California.

It is after all-   in Gods hands.

I am glad the GOP has rendered some sanity to this madness.

I do not want to pay higher prices.   These phony warmer theorists- all drive SUVs and waste energy.   They never clean highways, or donate to the heat fund of the power company.  Liberals are the reason why there is graphitti. If there were not any liberals we would not have to look at graphitti.

Always follow the money.

Popeye, surely it must be blindingly obvious that, if we 'follow the money', it takes us to those who want us to forget about climate change?  The entire pro-green movement - all its academics, its industries, its supporting economists, politicians, and writers - doesn't collectively have even a fraction of the clout that the anti-green lobby has.  Your sort of line here depends upon a cuckoo-clock understanding of the forces economics and politics involved.  I'm sorry, but that kind of argument is nothing short of deranged.

Commodity supplies are a limited resource.

The corn crop can only expand so much.   The oil on earth is limited.

We do not need India and China to be wanton gluttons and eat up my food supply.

Dont fall into the trap the "oil" is the only commodity that there is to be a energy source. That yellow orb up in the sky...that stuff is FREE! Hopefully we are going to inundate Lake Erie with wind turbines and give a bump to the coal operators as well. We are only limited by our imagination and ability to work together.

I'm surprised to see you becoming more caught up in the partisan equation.

While I have no doubt that Alex Jones has reported plenty of factual information over the years, perhaps you've bought too deeply into the fear that he also spoon-feeds his audience.

Beware of information laced with emotion.

Science does not rest on the shoulders of concensus.

learned men once all agreed the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth.....
so much for concensus.

besides, despite what is reported by the liberal media not ALL scientist agree!!!

the earth has been around for millions of years the temps and co2 levels constantly fluctating..... (most of that occuring long before man came on the scene)

there were times when the co2 levels and temps were much higher than today and than they are projected to be in 50 yrs........

WTF??? the earth didn't burn up???

the plants love co2 they thrive in warmer temps. look at past records, when temps are higher the earth flourshied.
WTF???

climatetologist can't predict tomorrow's weather with more than 30% accuracy, but they agree we are gonna burn up in 20.....30.....uhhhh 50....maybe 100 years.

WTF???

if there's even a remote possibility even a 30% chance of that happening maybe we should do as gore does (oops I mean as gore encourages when he leaves his mansions, in his private limo, and flies around the world in his private jet) we should live in smaller houses drive smaller cars and lower our thermostats.
and of couse no one should do as gore did and buy a penthouse condo on the beach....it will be underwater in 50 years!!! (gore probably does not worry about that...he will be dead by the time his condo is floating.)
and gore would never lie about something so important.....just because he's making millions in his carbon credit co.

and climate gate......even though those guys wrote eachother about how to minuplate the data......u can't believe what the right wing reports..... they probably just misunderstood or flat out lied. just because its in print does not mean the words actually mean "minuplate" in this case they mean something else entirely!! just because they wrote eachother on how to keep disenting opinions out of peer review does not mean anything, after they ALL agreee..... got ya! there r no disenters!!!

science czar holdern was bemoaning the coming ice age in the 70's.....now he's on the warming band wagon....WTF?

the only disenters here are us stupid people who could not pass a science class if we all put our heads together.

I rather be "stupid"(according to some) than be gullible and float where ever the prevailing takes me. cos this wind stinks and is leading us right down the poverty tube as people like gore and holdern de-industeralize (holderns words not mine)America and prop up 3rd world govts in the name of redistrubting the wealth. geeee aren't we lucky to have such trust worthy and lofty elites to save us!

WTF???

WTF???? there are no surprises you are so confused when so many of your points are utter pap

WTF??? the earth didn't burn up???
is this what you are hoping for?? from global warming?? you really dont have a clue

the plants love co2 they thrive in warmer temps. look at past records, when temps are higher the earth flourshied.
WTF???
Have you seen the Sahara or death valley?? high temps, little plant life, without water, high temps kill plants.

despite what is reported by the liberal media not ALL scientist agree!!!
The liberal Media does NOT claim all scientists agree
climatetologist can't predict tomorrow's weather with more than 30% accuracy, but they agree we are gonna burn up in 20.....30.....uhhhh 50....maybe 100 years.
ok, meteorologists predict the day to day  weather , not climatologists.

and of couse no one should do as gore did and buy a penthouse condo on the beach....it will be underwater in 50 years!!! (gore probably does not worry about that...he will be dead by the time his condo is floating.)
His Condo is overlooking the beach, it is in fact high on top of a cliff, not going to disappear unless a tidal wave hits X

after they ALL agreee..... got ya! there r no disenters!!!
There are plenty of dissenters

I gave up there  because its more than I'm willing to do to decipher into a proper sentence with structure and correct spelling

Buying "carbon credits" is like "buying" something in "Second life."
You're paying good money for somethinmg that doesn't exist.

Gas would be cheaper if those Chinese and Indians were not hogging it all.

Because the supply is LIMITED.

The title of this thread should be, "God please protect us from the Global Warmers."

This reminds me of an all you can eat buffet- you arrive after 3 busloads just thrashed the place.

Why do you think we are in Iraq?    To liberate those people?

No.  We are there to control the oil.  Even the DEM president has us there after promising to get us out.

Why would the DEMs act just like the GOP?

Is it because oil is "free"?
