NPR has just been punked, and at the worst possible time for their funding prospects. Who would you guess set up NPR employees, filming them them trashing conservatives and Jews? Yup, James O'Keefe is back, doing for NPR pretty much what he did for ACORN.
Bye Bye federal funding

DomKen -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:17:45 AM)

You don't really expect anyone to believe anything by O'Keefe do you?

gothikbutterfly -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:19:00 AM)

oy vey....

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:23:38 AM)

People like you on the far left who routinely try to demonize everyone who disagrees with your cult-like ideology cant be expected to acknowledge information thats runs contrary to your rigid belief system, no. But more open minded individuals will take such new information in, process it, and form their own opinions.

Or possibly you just parrot anything that seems to bear out your own prejudices. That seems a lot more likely looking at the stuff you post in here...

Jennislut -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:29:35 AM)

they posed as representatives of a fictitious organization - how can a fictitious organization be a front for anything

and as far as the tea party - from what little i know about them what he said seems to be bang on

Lucylastic -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:33:47 AM)

The Malkin  Cult is out in force

truckinslave -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:38:32 AM)

You don't really expect federal funding for NPR to survive this, do you?

Moonhead -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:40:59 AM)

I don't see why not: it isn't like Bush's Presidential bid was derailed by some functionary stating that it didn't matter how Florida voted because most of the state was immigrants, was it?

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:43:10 AM)

You might want to check that with Google, the Muslim Brotherhood is a powerful international force thats been in existence and exerting its influence since at least the 1920s.

Then you know nothing of the Tea Party- probably not even who Alan West is, much less that he is a huge Tea Party supporter and favorite (and a possible VP pick).
Does it surprise you that NPRs top people were stupid enough to fall for an undercover operation with so thin a background? It certainly doesn't me, but does it you?

truckinslave -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:45:18 AM)

Only one Bush Presidential bid has failed. Pere Bush, 1992.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

tazzygirl -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:47:26 AM)

Im withholding judgement until the unedited tape is released.

domiguy -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:48:48 AM)

Wow he really trashed the Jews, didn't he.

"When the man pretending to be Kasaam suggests to Schiller that “Jews do kind of control the media or, I mean, certainly the Zionists and the people who have the interests in swaying media coverage toward a favorable direction of Israel,” Schiller does not rebut him or stop eating. He just nods his head slightly."

I agree with a great deal if not the majority of what Schiller had to say.

First off the tape was heavily edited and anything that placed Schiller in a favorable light you damn well know was removed.

When a head nod becomes "trashing jews" you know that it is but another ridiculous post concocted by the guy that would fire someone for voting against his wishes....The KING OF IGNORANCE, truckinslave!!!!

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:49:43 AM)

I think most people ignore Moonbeam. He is never on topic and what he does write rarely makes any sense.

truckinslave -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:51:21 AM)

I can accept that as an eminently reasonable position from your reference point; I hope you do not have to wait long.
If O'Keefe is following his pattern, of course, there will first be more tapes.
I'll be surprised if he doesn't take a run at the NEA, too, bottom to top.

A functionary in Bush's camp bragging about the Florida recounts being abandoned.

truckinslave -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 5:53:48 AM)

Yeah, there's that.
I sometimes find the mindless vituperation amusing. I know it's weak-minded of me, but it's such a train wreck. Sheen slo-mo.

and what does that have to do with the plants pretending to represent a non-existant organization?

Sanity -> RE: Grubbing for Muslim Brotherhood money (3/8/2011 6:55:24 AM)

The organization they claimed to represent was the Muslim Brotherhood, which the Muslim Brotherhood does indeed exist.
