poor misguided, foolish and unknowing  truckulentslave, perhaps you can drop the yahoo pretense and read the actual text of the bill.

You know, get some knowledge, like what an FFDL is and the successful taking of bedpan changing tests not being a course in or the whole of nursing.

FFDL

You really should google that and check the first 30 responses.

mnottertail -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/16/2011 7:39:59 AM)

Why? I can just waltz over to the file cabinet and read mine.  I got the books, I do the deal daily, I know the law.  I live it.

Thats one of the problems with the first 30 responses from google, they won't make you any sort of authority on subjects you have absolutely no knowledge of, and when you proceed in enmity to profess such knowledge (having no other background in the subject), you are quickly caught out, and proved unreliable and of little import.

Maybe you should do your own Google search before you post that suggestion.

Did you really mean to reference the Fife Football Development League?

Now thats an interesting piece of news there Ron? ... I guess it was expected ??

There is another change in Wisconsin state law as a result of this bill. By the end of April there will be a "Do or Die" vote on individule unions. We will see just how many state employes really prefer to be in a union, or if they want out.

Too bad you didn't try to start a movement to opt out of your union since you seem to feel so strongly about it.

Oh wait, I forgot, yours was a "good" union.

I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

The challenges were expected that the TRO wa issued was at least a mild surprise.

tazzygirl -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/18/2011 3:30:07 PM)

I dont believe its a surprise. Two seperate suits were filed. One having to do with the legality of the law itself. The other with the rules of open meetings being broken. The block was on the second suit. If the meeting rules are overturned, they can simply go back into session, do it properly, and we end up with the same bill.

This also is interesting news from Wisconsin if you have not heard.

Wisconsin Republican’s Mistress Hired as State Employee

You might remember Sen. Randy Hopper (R-Fond du Lac) as they guy whose wife and maid were going to sign the recall petition against him and who no longer lives at the home where he is registered. Well, it get’s worse. This guy’s mistress was hired from a right wing lobbyist firm and given a state employee’s job. You know, the jobs the senator just signed a budget bill over, killing collective bargaining. Maybe in Republican circles collective bargaining happens in bed.

Hopper, who’s been a state senator since he won a very narrow victory over his opponent in 2008, told WKOW 27 News that he had nothing to do with the hire. It just so happens that he filed for divorce from his wife in August of 2010, moved out of their home and according to his wife was living with his mistress in Madison. His mistress used to work as an aide for another state senator on a committee Randy also “worked” on. In January of this year, she quit her job at the lobbying firm (whose clients include Americans for Prosperity; aka, the Koch brothers and Scott Walker), where she “coordinated direct mailers.” In February, she was given one of those cushy state employee jobs with all of those benefits the Republicans keep nattering on about. She is now a “limited term communications specialist.”

Any bets on how many Dims will be dim to run promising to eliminate the public referendum now required for pay raises above COLA? Reduced union pension contributions? Reduced union healthcare contributions?

We will have to see when that bill comes up for law, as it hasn't yet.

No. Reading comprehension. Try again, paying attention to the word "run"; as in, shall we say, "running for office".

truckinslave -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/20/2011 10:43:43 AM)

SIGH

The document in question is, according to me, called an FFL.
According to mn, and only mn, it is called an FFDL.

truckinslave -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/20/2011 10:45:31 AM)

Yes, they can. And should have before the ink was dry on this ludicrous TRO.

tazzygirl -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/20/2011 10:50:37 AM)

Since its now in the hands of the court, I dont think there is much they can do until its ruled upon.

truckinslave -> RE: Wisconsin loses collective bargaining (3/20/2011 12:57:06 PM)

They can pass it again tomorrow; all that was reviewed was whether the Wis "open meeting law" was followed.

I would have passed a 48 hour suspension of the "open meeting law", passed the bill again, and made a very public promise to the campaign of this judges next opponent...

The judge really is just dickin around...... union stooge and all that.
