1 round of 10 lunges, 15 squats, 15 situps, 15 back extensions, 15 pushups.

Too tired and too sore to do pullups or to do a second round. Ugh I hate being sick!

Power cleans (actually did hang cleans, landed in a full squat even though I didn't need to)
45#-50#-55#-60#-65#-70#-75#(PR)

Really happy with my cleans, I'd never cleaned more than 70# before and I nailed it.

Was going to go sit in the sauna but got chased out by a roach.

Looking forward to lunch. Hungry today.

Never ever do girl pushups on your knees. You don't get any real fast benefit doing them that way because you never build up your core and that's where a lot of your strength for a pushup comes from.

Start doing wall pushups, with your feet a couple feet away from the wall. Then do pushups on a high counter, then a regular dining table, then a coffee table, then the floor. Its progressive and can take a while to build up the strength to move on to the next step, but you'll get there and still be getting all the work of a reg pushup, that you wouldn't be getting if your knees were on the ground.

If you want to keep going after you get the reg pushups down, turn around and go back up the progressions, but instead of putting your hands higher and higher, put your feet higher and higher. I can't do a full handstand push up yet but I can do them with my feet on a bar that's about my shoulder height.

I'm a girly-gurl pusher upper. My upper body strength is seriously lacking during reps.

Fair enough. i can't do them.[:D]

i didn't go to school, never did gym class. Never did i learn these push-up and such. i did yoga, climbed trees and barbed wire fences, and hiked through the woods, and swam. i'd take a walking stick out and pretend i was "Gabby" from Xena .

Chaos gave up on teaching me how to do a push-up. Something about your bum shouldn't be that far up in the air...

Often we will debate why these exercises serve no practical purpose, as i see it. Sit-ups? These seem to be most illogical means of achieving this goal to sit up...

I finally cut up my strawberries last night. I sat at the computer & watched Monk episodes while I did it. Unfortunately, my refrigerator is defective so they had frozen solid. I moved them to a lower shelf & will see if they're edible.

I got some $$ yesterday so I am able to go shopping today. More fresh veggies, yogurt & bananas. I need to eat a banana every day for the potassium while I'm taking the Lasix. I'm hoping that my getting off caffeine will lower my blood pressure enough that I can stop taking that med. I also need to get some different type of meat, since I'm bored with pork chops already.

I was talking with someone the other day & she was telling me about these people who say they don't want to lose weight because they'll have saggy skin if they do. I told her if that's what they're telling her, it's just an excuse. I know that I will have extra skin bagging around, but I'd rather be healthier & more active. Besides, at my age, things are sagging already!! [8D]

Those were in the plan, Pots. Just need to find some that look good. I had thought about getting some frozen chicken breasts, but the bag is humongous & my freezer isn't very good. There were some organic ones, but they wanted $11 per lb!!! WTF??? And I don't really like previously frozen fish so much. The texture gets messed up when fish is frozen, IMO. The pork I got is extremely lean & I cut off what little fat remained.

Ooooooh!!!! I loves veggie burgers!!! Costco has these really great black bean burgers that are spicy & delicious!

I love bananas, so I'm good with eating them for my potassium needs. I refuse to take the potassium pills that she prescribed for me. My goal is fewer meds, not more.

ETA: Oddly enough, the Lasix is a $4 generic, but the kcl is not.

I'm shocked!  I thought you were strictly a carnivore! [:D]  I expected you to threaten my life when I suggested veggie burgers.
I love the spicy black bean burgers too!  The only veggie burgers I HATE are the soy burgers! They smell & taste like hot dogs which I can't stand![:'(]

Please be careful.
Though i tried and tried to up my potassium levels, which were critically low, by food. It did nothing to help.
i have to take the doctor scribed pills or risk my heart doing something very bad.
