Map my run is just a trackig site. There's some way to calculate calories burned but I never bothered with learning. :p I just used it to chart runs. But you can either pick other people's maps or make your own and share them (or keep them to yourself). I got out and explored a lot of new places with it.
I think it has a phone app.

Oh and it's not just for running, you can use it for all sorts of different workout plans.

I really liked the map feature but some places I went didn't have sidewalks, so I wound up running against traffic. :p I wish it had markings for sidewwalks. Haha

Well come to TN lol there are NO sidewalks here -- boggles my mind as to where they want kids to play lol the STREETS!

Yeah i hate walking much less running in the street because if i have my music on i tend to get all spacey and that can be dangerous. You be careful out there and make sure you wear bright clothes and get some reflectors to put on them! (i am sure you are and do!)

I really commend you on running.  It was never something i liked though i did it in HS and college levels for the quarter and the 300 hurdles mostly to stay in shape for basketball.

Ron you are hitting them on the money baby.  That is an awesome song. 

I use motivational songs like this when working out - Yes yes, i have we are the champions on my ipod lol -- they get me going more than the beat does because i visualize -- grins imaging my problem when i am on the treadmill and a sexy song comes on making ya wanna dance.  The treadmill is very unforgiving lol.

I went to Bestbuy and got a waterproof case for my iphone and waterproof earphones today to start swimming again but came across this AWESOME scale i sooooooo am wanting -- talk about analysis - it has wifi so you can track your progress ONLINE!!:

Today starts my 7 weeks of intense focus on my getting off my diabetic meds, which means having my diet being strict, starting my exercise regime up again, and finally losing the last of this weight i am working on getting off.  I do well in the intense focus phase so my days will consist of working out cardio in the morning before work -- blah! lol   weights and classes in the evening.  Planning my meals and sticking to the menu, and finally keeping my stress level as low as possible and getting enough sleep.

Hopefully the conclusion will be my doc taking me off my diabetic meds come February 10!

Here's to staying focused for 7 weeks.

Okay, So I fell behind while dealing with school and some family issues. However, the last two weeks I've slowly been working myself back into things. I ran 2.5 miles today in a very hilly atmosphere. I'm going to buy a smaller medicine ball, a set of heavier free weights, and a jump rope so that I can vary my routine up a bit. I really like running, but I know that I cannot get stuck in a workout routine or it's not going to work for me. On the plus side minus the last three days I've been eating really healthy. Trying some new inventive vegetarian meals and I got one of those magic bullet blender/food processor things for christmas and I'm excited to make some hot spicy hummus and bruschetta and some other fun healthy things.

Now its a new year. I started lifting again last year in the beginning of Feb. So technically I still have another month until its one year. My lifting totals have went up pretty well.

My squat went from 280 to 420. Deadlift from 180 to 495. Barbell curl from 100 to 145. Barbell row from 245 to 325. Military press from 75 to 215. Bench press from 220 to 280.
