This is just a follow up.  Several months ago I posted that I wanted to lose 50lbs.   So far I lost 35.

anniezz338 -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (1/3/2012 10:04:57 PM)

That's awesome :) Congratulations.....i know it is not easy.

ResidentSadist -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (1/3/2012 10:11:29 PM)

Thanks.... actually, it wasn't hard.  I just made some core lifestyle changes, the weight loss was more like a side effect.

LadiTrukDriver -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (1/3/2012 10:17:33 PM)

RS that's great.
Unfortunately it got to the point that I had to finally give up on trying & I had weight loss surgery in Sept. My back had gotten so bad that I couldn't even walk 30 feet without being in complete agony & not being able to breath.
On 9/1 I was 304, The day after my surgery I was 297, As of last week I was 262. I'm stuck in this damned 3lb fluctuating plateau and it's killing me.
I keep forgetting to weigh myself when I get up, so in the morning I'm going to see if I've finally gotten away from the plateau or if I'm going to continue being stuck. I've been stuck since right before Thanksgiving.
If anyone has any questions feel free to inbox me, as I may not get back on here to get them.
Lauri

Those plateaus are a bitch. I lost 70lbs in 09' and when those happened, i would go on an apple fast for two days, as many as i wanted.

Or I would have a cheeseburger. I guess it shook up the body into responding because it worked more than once.

Congrats on your weight loss :)

LadiTrukDriver -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (1/3/2012 10:36:17 PM)

Thanks Annie,
When I had gained the 3 lbs the 1st time, I went on a diet of Greek Yogurt, Muscle Milk, and chicken, eggs, grits, smashed taters, or something of the like. I had to keep my protein up, which might I add is a bitch to do, plus try to shake the plateau, needless to say, it did NOT work LOL I'll check in tomorrow after I weigh myself & let you all know if I shook it or not. If I get below 260 it's time to party, that means I broke it (I hope) LOL though the cruise I'm going on next week isn't going to help much.

*goes back to check.* Oh, I didn't see that. Sorry. Your honor if it pleases the court I would now like to answer the fit slut if I may.

Yeah I eat every 2 to three hours. For what I'm trying to accomplish I need to replenish my amino acids every 3 hours. And it helps keep your metabolism up. Whether you are trying to diet down, pack on some muscle or just maintain its better to break your meals up.

My Target net calories right now is 2230 a day. I have to over eat that to be able to hit my nutrient marks. About 120 g of fat, protein at least 310 g and carbs depend on whether I'm lifting that day or not. In order to get that in I end up going over on calories and burning it off in my workouts. So I might eat 3000 total calories and work 1200 of it off. Which will still put me in a calorie debt.

Hi All,
Well, after getting up & actually remembering to weigh myself (putting the scale on the driver seat helped that LOL) I have FINALLY broke my plateau. I am down to 258.8, so I'm finally back to heading in the right direction! Hopefully I can continue this for the next 118 lbs that I want to lose??? LOL

Good grief!  Thanks for your response.  You eat like this on the days that you don't work out too?  That was my main concern....do I still snack throughout the day like I'm going to work out?

Last night I did my 3 classes...3-2-1, Step Aerobics and Core.
As long as I keep my body fueled properly throughout the day I can make it thru each class and keep up w/the instructor.

That's exactly right.  When you hit those plateaus your body's becoming complacent w/the food & exercise.  Time to change it up.  I love taking group classes at the gym and the instructors always change their routines every 2-3 months to keep the body guessing.[:D]

My net stays within 100 or 200 calories of that. But on days I work out I try and eat more carbs. More fuel for a harder workout. Harder workout means more calories burned.

For you I would still break up your meals. But if its a day you aren't going to workout then you can cut a lot of your carbs out.

Interesting video.

Since I last checked in, I have dropped to 123.8 lbs. My target weight is 110 lbs. I still haven't lost the inches around my mid-section but, as I understand it, losing the mommy tummy is the hardest part and usually happens last. Health issues make exercising much harder during the winter, but I'm still plugging away at it.

[:)]Good to hear but I know you're HOT regardless of any belly that you might have!

I bought an XBox 360 Kinnect & an exercise "game" on Amazon.  It's due to be delivered today so I can't wait to use it but knowing my limitations w/modern technology I'm sure the workout will be just in trying to figure out how to connect it correctly[>:]....throwing it against the wall is a good workout, right?????

impishlilhellcat -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (1/12/2012 8:13:31 AM)

I've stopped doing ww's. It did nothing for me. I was focusing so much on fruits that at the end of the day I would have a major sugar crash. I found a website that focuses on food that focus on every day food that you love, but they found ways to keep the taste and cut the fat and calories. It seems to be helping a lot. I also, try to do one vegetarian meal a day and lunch is my heaviest meal. It's been working well in two weeks I've dropped about 6 pounds. I've managed to stay away from sweets and caffeine and increase my water intake. In addition, to that I'm making sure that the dogs and I walk or run every single day for at least four miles. Plus, I feel better and healthier!
