A link to your own post doesnt give anyone a clue about what youre talking about.

Really? Not anyone? You don't think it's possible for somebody to be more intelligent than you? Well alright, I'll explain...

First of all, I was being somewhat generous. In cardiac arrest, the mid-brain isn't chugging along normally while the rest of the brain shuts down from anoxia. When the brain isn't getting any oxygen, it isn't getting any oxygen anywhere. But allowing even that hypothesis, it would not be possible to wake up and "discover" that you have memories of having seen something that you couldn't have seen from the position your body was in.

In other words, what we have here is evidence of a functioning center of consciousness independent of the body during a period of no brain activity, Terry Shiavo and headless animals notwithstanding. Now I have no problem accepting the proposition that in normal circumstances consciousness and the brain are tightly coupled. But the operative phrase there is, "in normal circumstances."

K.

A dream is a memory of something you "can't see from the the position your body is in", no?

Yeah, fish sticks always did me in, but I could see porn doing the same.
