Status: offline 		we are always too far away. i think people thrive on distance...safer for them that way. i've been asking myself a similar question:

where are the "real" Mistresses?

Your experience with emails from male bottoms is not unusual for fem doms anywhere in the world or on the net, but as you may have already noticed, the folks here dislike "the true" anything, because generally people deemed untrue are the ones not fitting our needs/desires; none of us can claim one true way that works for everyone, no matter what title we go by.   M

Status: offline 		It was a honest post - and an honest question - wondering if others are all experiencing the same difficulties as I am or is it because Irelands bdsm scene is v limited.

Im not looking for anything that doesnt definitely exist (as some ppl have so scarcastically indicated, the perfect sub/perfect Mistress IS fantasy based - and I cldnt agree more)... Im just looking for a sincere submissive and I dont think thats an unrealistic expectation.

I am active in the bdsm scene in Dublin and a munchgoing member of bdsmireland.org (we meet twice a month) but still, working hard at finding the one and not getting v far :(


BTW - Wulfchyld - Id be delighted to encompass the sexual submissive aspect with relish if it goes hand in hand wth other aspects of submission. Women have needs too ya know ;-) (lol)

Have met some great people and some real twits (same as anywhere really), I can however assure you that the majority of males (submissives included) I have met (in Ireland or elsewhere) are not "intelligent, attractive, tall, dress well, with a wild imagination and a natural instinct to submit and obey."  To me this sounds almost like the BDSM version of the knight in shining armour, and goodness I want one of those too *grins*. However I have found that many are pleasant, interesting, well read and decently groomed and presentable; whilst offering to serve to the best of their ability. Shite some are even short, odd looking and dress peculiarly...but what the heck I tend to take people as they are and enjoy what connections I make, whether intimate or casual. I wish you luck on your journey and if you find that sub can you ask if he has a brother that fancies old, grouchy Dommes???? LOL

Knowing you as I do I know you are sincere and genuine as well as gorgeous.  

The "true" word isn't the best word to use on the boards as it has negative connotations here as I think you'll have seen from some of the replies.

Hopefully with things becoming a bit more open over here more people will come out of the shadows, it will be worth it when you find the right one for you.

Status: offline 		Sadly Samwhiplash we here in the United States are running in that with female and males   looking to play and with no real concept to serve. So you can say this problem is universal all over the world. There are allot subs and slaves looking to play or part time during the weekend. They also show very little respect too to you when you respond to their profiles. I have talked with allot of Dom’s and Dommes We feel your pain and I know it is frustrating. I wish you luck in finding what you are seeking and who every you do will be very lucky to have you has their Mistress. .

Status: offline 		Samwhiplash, you will find on the forums that many do not like the word "True."  I'm still not certain why that is, because I understand "true submissive" to be one who is genuine in their submission and not a player who uses people.  We're quick to say HNG's and players, but damn if we say "true."  We get hung up on words a lot. lol. 

In any case, sincerity can be difficult to find.  Many like to role play the Master/slave dynamic but not live it.  You have been searching just a few months for something that takes some people years.  Stay true to who you are (oops, I said true) and don't compromise, and eventually you will find what you are looking for.

First off, I respect you, and usually agree with your posts.  But I want to mention something at this point, which is by no means personal, just a general statement.

I do not consider myself to be a player.  I consider myself, and have been told so in real life, to be a, as you describe it, "true" submissive.  I'm polite, obedient, don't top from the bottom, truly take pleasure from a Domme's or Mistress', or any person's pleasure.  That makes me true, right?

I don't think that using a legitimate word like "true"  which the dictionary describes as

It has been said in many other threads about do-me subs, about expectations, etc, not that sex makes someone not submissive, but that ONLY sex, and ONLY foot worship, and ONLY this, etc subs are not true.  I will not pull any on the subject, as the search function apparently hates me, but I am certain they are out there.

Okay.  So who deserves this kind of "wrath?"  Agreed, no one.  So then, what does it mean for a sub to be genuine, real?  They don't say more than true.  Consistent with fact or reality says a bit more, but still, a man looking for kinky sex in a submissive way is consistent with reality.  Depending on your definition, maybe more bottom, but CM does not have that option.

is, as I see it, a very common definition of an "untrue" sub, looking for his own pleasure, not his Mistress'.  I will not pull threads (see above) and do not agree with this view, but it seems to be an accepted view of the "truescosity" of a sub.

In the interest of this discussion, I heartily welcome you to message me on the other side, but don't see a huge point of getting more into it.  To each their own.
