The line of officers from whence the projectile came away is about 12 feet from the victiim. That is my assertion that the projectile came from 12 feet away. He either A: aimed for the head or B: Can't hit his ass with both hands and a funnel. You said in another post that flashbangs work best up close and personal. Is it in the policy to drop one on TOP of an injured civilian? 90+ percent of police are awesome guys. Why does the thin blue line protect the others? My friends on the force can't answer that.

Military members have hit friendlies simply because of the confusion of the fire fight. Shit happens. When you try and shoot a tear gas canister far enough to affect the crowd you're trying to disperse, you have to arc it because the rounds don't go very far. It's not inconceivable that the round went up just fine and came down into the guy's head. Again...shit happens.

OK, as for My assumption of where the shot came from. The line of officers was 12 feet away. Either someone was firing nonlethal rounds thru and over his partners (There was no second line) or someone took a shot at an acute angle and wasn't covering his sector. (stupid) or an officer that that was covering his sector fired from close range and MISSED THE GROUND. That's an 8000 mile wide planet he was shooting at and he fucking MISSED. Or he took advantage of his own version of a guy fawkes mask (opaque face shield) and decided to take a potshot at a bum. Occam's Razor. He either aimed high deliberately or can't hit the side of a barn. I looked at the video again. The flashbang went off about a foot from an injured civilian. I ask again because you evaded the first time. Is it policy to toss a flashbang on top of an injured civilian? Yes or No As for the last question, you didn't answer it at all. you just evaded it totally. Most every officer knows who the few bad ones are that ruin the reputation of the whole force but they cover for them. Why?

Ok, so your justification for the body armor and face shields ( as opposed to a plastic Guy Falwkes' mask ) is that there are rioting protesters, although there AREN'T really rioting protesters. There's a possibility of there being rioting protesters. I suggest the more likely scenario to be that the armed and armored cops assault the peaceful protesters. Did you Tony Bologna's performance on Youtube pepperspraying a peaceful protester? He got disciplined by the NYPD for that, which for NYPD is a 100% iron-clad admission of guilt...

Nice try. But that doesn't apply in real-world situations, especially when the use of such a weapon is called for. The riot gun fires non-lethal ammunition at an arc. Period. There is no "backstop" and no way to guarantee 100% what it's going to hit. The majority of the time, there's no issue. Occasionally, however, accidents can happen, especially when the shooter is surrounded by people pelting him with bottles and rocks and whatever else they can.

There were no Guy Fawke masks in the vid nor were theyre paint bottles and rocks being thrown. The worst I saw was a heartfelt "fuck you" early in the vid as flashbangs (which the police initially claimed were not used) started going off. Sometimes they're necessary but why lie about it? It's just like if you have a suspect in questioning and you catch him in a bald faced lie. His credibility is shot and now you can work on a confession. They have been caught in lies and now their credibility is hurt. A marine who put his life on the line for you is down and you are automatically calling him a 'dirtbag' instead of thinking maybe you have someone who shouldn't have a badge. Why does that thin blue line protect people who dishonor their badge?
