Sounds aren't that bad. Hell, I've heard stories of guys who would stick a whole ball point pen up their own urethra. Medical sounds are still used in certain circumstances, usually to detect for blockage in the urethra. With sufficient lubricant, it's a little odd feeling, but not that uncomfortable (assuming the person knows what they're doing and dosen't just jab away at it). Swabbing a Q-tip in alcohol, sticking THAT in the urethra, and lighting it on fire - now THAT's exciting!
