Orly Taitz, a California attorney and queen of the birthers, won a small victory this week when a judge in Georgia denied a motion by the Obama administration to have one her many challenges to the president's ballot eligibility dismissed.

Taitz, who maintains that Obama is not a natural-born citizen and therefore is not eligible to be president -- despite the White House's release of his full "long-form" birth certificate last year -- appeared elated at the decision......

Just in time for the presidential election.[:D]

She reminds me of a geeky kid who keeps asking the head cheerleader on a date.

One day he was exstatic because "She only said no instead of her usual Fuck Off and DIE"

I know I'm going to get labeled, here but the fact that it took the president so long to "find" his birth certificate is a bone of contention for me.

I know that sitting here, at my computer, I could go up to the attic, into my strongbox, and lay hands on my birth certificate in less than 10 minutes. I cannot imagine a person who has spent a good portion of time (7 ... 8 years?) as a public official not being able to do so in under 7 days.

I have never said that I believe the president wasn't born in the US but, I am of the opinion that when someone hems and haws and gives us the equivilent of "my dog ate my homework", we should make it a point to get to the bottom of the issue.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

As has been said a bajillion times on here, it doesn't matter where he was born. He could have been born in Kenya or the Phillipines. His mother was a US citizen. Fini.

Owner59 -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 9:28:49 AM)

When was this ever made an issue before?

You know it was never sincere.

I'm sorry but his mother, being a US citizen does NOT qualify him as a natural-born citizen which is the constitutional requirement to hold his office.

The constitution specifically states that the president must be natural-born (or living in what where the colonies, at the time of the ratification of the document)

quote:

ORIGINAL US Constitution Article II, Section 1, paragraph 5
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

No one (that I know of) is saying that President Obama is not a US citizen but the constitution is very specific about a President needing to be natural-born.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

mnottertail -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 9:49:57 AM)

and we get to the age old and vexing question that everyone ignored except for obama.

What is natural born, and why isn't he?   Is this an immaculate conception scam?   We have an idea that this is some test tube shit?   Perhaps he was shit out by a bird on a stump and hatched in the sun?

Why isn't he natural born?

DaddySatyr -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 10:04:13 AM)

Come on, Ron. Seriously? You know what "natural born" means, here.

Again: I am not saying one way or another in a definitive manner whether I believe he was born on US soil or not. I just think that it took a little too long for a public official to produce something that just about every person has in their possession.

I sincerely hope that President Obama was born on US soil because if he wasn't, he should - by law - be removed from office (or, at least removed from the 2012 ballot, at this point).

Imagine, if you will, that Doctor Kissinger might have been a good president but was precluded from running. (I'm going to spell this wrong and I can't be arsed to look it up)Zbignew Brezhinski (Sec. Of State under President Carter) might have been a good president. Couldn't run.

I think it important, in this day and age, for an American president to be native born; just to lessen the potential of infiltration. Do I think that makes it fail-safe? Hell nah! But, I think it's important.

I don't understand people that seem to say: "The Constitution doesn't matter" when it is the law of the land and the "owners' manual" (if you will) for our whole society.

Do I think: "We believe the certificate of live birth is sufficient" is a valid argument? Maybe. I wasn't convinced, though and I will re-state: I believe that it took a little too long for President Obama to produce a legitimate document that is a requirement to be president.

I also believe that where there's smoke, there's usually fire.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Then you are exactly the target audience of pointless smear campaigns so common in this country, 19th century through today, from all sides.

Really--I don't understand willingly being that gullible and so easily manipulated.

but you don't

The weight of legal and historical authority indicates that the term natural born citizen would mean a person who is entitled to U.S. citizenship by birth or at birth, either by being born in the United States and under its jurisdiction, even those born to alien parents; by being born abroad to U.S. citizen-parents; or by being born in other situations meeting legal requirements for U.S. citizenship at birth.

Taitz, who maintains that Obama is not a natural-born citizen and therefore is not eligible to be president -- despite the White House's release of his full "long-form" birth certificate last year -- appeared elated at the decision:

"THANK YOU GOD!!! I AM READY TO CRY! AFTER 3 YEARS OF BATTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME A JUDGE RULED THAT OBAMA'S MOTION TO DISMISS IS DENIED. I CAN NOW DEPOSE OBAMA AND EVERYBODY ELSE INVOLVED WITHOUT ANY IMPEDIMENT," she wrote on her website.

The hearing on Taitz's complaint has been set for Jan. 26 in Fulton County, Ga. Obama will not be required to attend.

Taitz has hit Georgia hard on the birther issue -- as have other complainants -- but this is her first success of this nature there, or anywhere, for that matter. A previous attempt in Georgia resulted in her being fined."

Just in time for the presidential election.[:D]

Obama's own words in his own book "Dreams From My Father" and on his 2008 campaign web-site and his long-form birth certificate posted on whitehouse.gov last year prove beyond any shadow of doubt that he is not a "natural born Citizen" and therefore is not eligible to be president. The latter, of course, assumes all the former are not lies or forgeries.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 10:32:08 AM)

Having been married to a person who was born to an American mother while in Germany (and not at a military base hospital; in a place called Ider-Oberstein), I can tell you, absolutely, that that person had to be naturalized. That's the way it was. Plain and simple.Show me anything you want. I know what hoops had to be jumped through by that person just to be allowed to live in this country.

Also, I've actually known two people who had "certificate(s) of live birth"; my adopted brother and sister. They were issued (in those cases) as a way to allow the children to be adopted into America, legally while not divulging the identity of the birth parents.

I am not saying that is the only reason a (rather ambiguous) "certificate of live birth" might be issued. I am saying it's the only time I have ever personally seen one (well ... two).

As has been pointed out all over the internet, it indeed doesn't matter where he was born. He indeed could have been born in Kenya or the Phillipines or in the Oval Office of the White House. His father never was a U.S. citizen. Period.

uh huh, sure you do. the opinion of legal scholars don't matter, the only thing that matters is your misconceptions. you are wrong, i've shown you this from an impeccable source, but you're going to ignore it based on some bureaucratic regulations that have nothing to do with the issue. if your wife needed to be "naturalized" then that is because she was not a us citizen.

Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=d84d6811264a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=d84d6811264a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

so either she had given up or renounced her citizenship, or never was a citizen for some reason, or didn't have to get naturalized. i don't know exactly what happened, but what i do know is that what you think happened isn't what happened.

have a happy thursday.

The problem with Obama's background is that there is so much doubt involved with it.
Even Bill Clinton who was no man's man himself had plenty of friends and aquaintances in his life and loads of people "remembered" him all through his life.
That seems to be an ongoing problem with Obama, no-one seems to be able to "remember" him at Columbia and then he had a short trip to *Editor* of the Harvard Law Revue?
Then to top it off in the last year someone comes out and says his i.q. is,.....162. Who needs to know that? Why would someone come out and make a public statement to that affect? I mean why?
He certainly doesn't talk or write like someone with a "162 i.q."
There's just too much askew, too many doubts and mystery about his background.
And, he makes John French Kerry sound absolutely exciting! "Can I ah,.....get me a higher i.q. here?"
Oh Satyr, if you say *anything* that isn't favorable to Oblunder then you're a "bigot" according to the left.
And I can get my hands on my birth certificate in less than 60 seconds, it's in a file cabinet in another room. It shouldn't take *anyone* months to find theirs!
