Amazing... we now see the man who was swinging on Crowder was actually assaulted first.

Can't quite tell what Crowder did to the guy that resulted in him being knocked down. I'm not surprised he came up swinging. I still don't see that as acceptable behavior.

I have to add that at no time have I stated that Crowder never provoked anyone, and that I have shown interest in seeing the raw footage. If he did provoke all those reactions, then he is more wrong than those who reacted to him. It doesn't exonerate their behaviors. I wonder how we could get hold of all the raw footage to see what happened.

I didnt say Crowder assaulted him. I said the man himself had been assaulted. Giving him more than enough provocation. By the omitting that bit of information it definitely makes Crowder out to be less than honest, and potentially guilty.

Im curious to see if he will still press charges.

I didn't say you did.

Completely agree, and nothing has changed for me on that.

I hope he doesn't. I've already said that I'd like to see the guy step up to the plate and meet Crowder MMA-style and kick Crowder's ass. Would do nothing but warm my heart to see arrogance taken down a peg or two (or more). [:D]

Chrysler lost the arbitration case so the issue is with either chrysler's legal staff or with a bad arbitrator. I fail to see how the union is at fault here.

Didn't they go to bat for these guys to get them reinstated?

It would be a violation of the law and of the union's contract to not provide support to any employee who is fired or demoted etc.. The union must represent every employee no matter what.

That smells bad then. Some people might have gotten a bad shake from the company. And some have no business getting their job back. And the union has no choice but to represent them both.

The footage was disturbing, but I wouldn't use it as a brush with which to paint every union member. Every group has its....um....passionate members.

As someone who has taught for 15+ years, sometimes I was a member of the teacher's union and sometimes I wasn't. I admit that sometimes it was just all about needing that extra 40.00 a month, sadly. But you know....my teacher evaluations and effectiveness in the classroom did not fluctuate based on my membership status, so I am not seeing union membership as a statistically significant factor in teacher effectiveness. Though one could argue that a teacher who is marching instead of actually TEACHING children is probably not very effective in the classroom at that point.......Of course I am one of those silly teachers who believes it should be all about educating the kids.
