~FRing it~

You should demand that CM return all fees paid by you for membership right away! Didn't pay membership fees, you say? Then I suggest the next best thing...delete and move on with life.

Right...b/c offering suggestions to improve the user experience is completely absurd, right?

In the forums? Yes, it is completely absurd. The other users can't do a damn thing about your suggestions. We don't have the authority to implement your suggestions EVEN IF WE WANTED TO.

Here's the thing, I wasn't ASKING YOU TO. But if enough people want something, sometimes changes happen.

And you know what? I believe you because you said so (and no, that was not meant to have any sarcasm). I never said I didn't see what he means. If you read my tag line (second one) I firmly believe that. No matter how much you try to make a site invincible to the idiots.... the idiots will still find a way, and that is pretty much the point that everyone is saying. To me its a never ending battle, and truthfully I am sure the site owners have figured that out and now they spend their time and money in areas that they can change and will help people to have a better experience on their site.

I believe you not being sarcastic. Agree that spammers and idiots will always find a way.
But it wouldnt be bad to make it less attractive for them..to come up with even the idea to try. I know..a fantasy...:P

Proper channels? People have posted responses from site admins in this very thread and from other threads.
So your issue is where I chose to voice my suggestion? I disturbed the quiet peace of your off topic sub forum?

Proper channels. Lol.

Do you take technical issues to photo review? Of course not. But we have a one stop bitching place... called "Support". Perhaps you have seen the link... located at the bottom of the home page.

I personally dont care where you bitch or whine at... when I feel like it, I do the same. Meh....

But the threads are not for suggesting changes. An Admin popped in to say she was watching. And of course she is... for TOS Violations. A thread this heavy, to me, would likely get out of hand quickly. Better to keep an eye on it. Doesnt mean the owners will see it. And I highly doubt the technicians are looking in.

Right. Except all of that is complete horseshit. What do you do for a living again?

Really?? where are your facts??
I've just quoted one really ginormous site where your assertions don't work.

What do I do??
Ummm... I'm a retired programmer [:D]
Been programming since before the PC was even invented.
Also been involved in one of the biggest credit card expansions in the known universe.
Written a fair bit of the international banking gateway.
Most of the graphics shown in the news about the banking, floating notes, bonds etc was done by me.
Spent a good deal of time writing special stuff for the military that I'm not allowed to talk about but I can say it involved fly-by-wire and guidance systems.

It seems sir, you are spouting from your other hole and know very little.
I shall now exercise my options as you should be doing instead of whining... welcome to my iggy list [:)]

I love fiction.

OP: You won't get much sympathy here on the Boards. As you can see, many (most?) of the regulars have the "I got mine, screw you" and/or the "it's not an issue for me, therefore it's not a problem" mindset.

In a nutshell, fake accounts keep this place in business. And yes, it IS a business despite all the claims of volunteer staff. The more accounts the site can claim the more they can charge for all the ads you see.

I was encouraged the other day when several fake accounts appeared (each numerically incremented from the last ie: Mary1, Mary2...Mary29) and then all got removed at once. It almost makes me think someone cares. But then I see another dozen profiles pushing xxxchat.nl and I realize they don't.

About all you can do is block them before they view your profile.

Good luck with it.

~Dave

I can do one other thing, which is bring it to the attention of the community and the moderators. It's going over like gangbusters. Thanks for the understanding, though.

Neither of which have the power to do anything about collar ME (THIS side is CollarCHAT and has a different support staff).

Oh come on. Surely a big, bad tough dominant isnt afraid of a simple question.

I'm sorry, are you waiting for me to ask you what your question is? You can just go ahead and ask it you know.

Not going to respond to my question?

I nominate this thread for Righteous Whine of the Month. Any challengers?

I was going to nominate this one for "Most Nested Quotes In A Thread".

lol, are you not used to the fact that more people might disagree with you..or..agree with some one else?

nope (btw you missed the rest of the why do I get the feeling that you are but meh)

I have no problem with disagreeing at all. I was an honest assessment. If you say you are not then I take that for what its worth. You didnt answer my question though so still curious as to the answer [8D]

I'm sorry, do you want us to post photos of us holding newspapers from the Netherlands (where ravishers is from) and New York (where i am from)? Would that satisfy your absurd conspiracy theory so we can move on?

Dude. Come on. really? You yourself are talking about the fakes, so are you telling me that because I say in my profile I am from lets say NY, that means I am? I know for a fact by your postings you are smarter then that.

The difference is I can prove it. I can hold up a copy of the New York Times, The Daily News, The Asbury Park Press or whatever local paper you like and it will be the same guy in my profile picture holding the paper. He can do it with whatever Dutch equivalent he has at his disposal.

Bottom line is I don't need to create additional account to support my suggestion because, again, its indisputable. Don't agree? Google "collarme fake"

ShaharThorne -> RE: Collarme needs to do a better job of policing its userbase (6/13/2013 1:25:10 PM)

Better watch it hand...he could be my brother....with the same credentials...

tazzygirl -> RE: Collarme needs to do a better job of policing its userbase (6/13/2013 1:25:29 PM)

"collarme fake"

we are well aware of that site.

We are also well aware of the ... inaccuracies... of that site.

Not taking any sides in this debate, but want to note all the "users viewing this topic."
44 to be precise...and it's been a loooooooooooong time since I've seen a thread with that many.
In and of itself, that speaks volumes. Obviously some folks out there think this is a big problem.

Or they enjoy watching the OP piss into the wind.

ravishers -> RE: Collarme needs to do a better job of policing its userbase (6/13/2013 1:25:57 PM)

Looking at the interest goign out to this thread..it might motivate people to report more people.

So indirectly..it might help.

It is a community after all

Seriously. How do you use a site where 95% of the messages and profile views you receive are CLEARLY spam accounts? At the very least they could flag accounts with the SAME URL in every profile description or members that claim to be "native american" and are clearly not.

I claim to be Native American because guess what.
I am.

How do you check someone's ethnicity without blood tests?

An admin could have closed or deleted this thread at any time. Until that happens, I'm going to assume I haven't broken any site rules.

And it's pretty clear you care where I "bitch or whine" since you're suggesting a proper place for me to do it.

What does that matter? Does every petitioner create a petition expecting it to reach the exact person who can effect change? I have no expectations anything will happen. I'm merely raising my voice.

I never suggested YOU were breaking a rule.

As far as the place. Not even close. You claim to want to make changes. I am merely pointing you to the proper place to do so. This isnt it.
