It is quite clear the IDF did target UN compounds not being used by Hamas. Even the IDF have launched a criminal investigation.

I personally would be butt hurt being collateral damage in a war zone. Yet, one of the big boy/girl decisions a leader must make before going into war is this worth the collateral damage to civilians. Apparently, Hamas thinks so. They actually hand out pamphlets on how to capitalize in the news with regard to civilian damage. So, frankly, I'm really not concerned when Hamas' intended practices cause their people pain. If they didn't want it, it's simple, don't shoot rockets and mortars at a country with jet military aircraft and tanks. Again, going back to big boy/girl decisions about going to war, I really don't hold anything against the IDF for trying not to, but still inflicting collateral damage. That fact that they make a pretense at all to avoid it is, to me, tactically stupid. The purpose of war is to break things and kill people. Frankly, I'm incensed that here, because of loony lefties our troops have to go into war with stupid rules. If you don't go to war with the only concern being the last fucking guy standing, don't go.
