ORIGINAL: crazyml Ah yes... that circular hypocritical "you're a bigot too" claim. Here's Merriam-webster on the word: quote:
bigot noun : a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group) (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bigot) Also see - http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/american-english/bigot Notwithstanding the, way too fucking subtle for you, distinction between these two definitions and the one you selected. There is quite a difference between being intolerant of people who wish to live their lives and exercise a right and being intolerant of those people. Let me try to explain: I think you'll find relatively few people that are pro gay marriage who actually oppose heterosexual marriage. People that are pro gay marriage are not, generally, opposed to heterosexual marriage - These people want people to have the freedom to marry the person that they want to. Something that I would have assumed would be right up there as a "good thing" for those people who believe in freedom and liberty. On the other hand, there is a group of people that want to deny a group access to marriage. They want to impose their narrow and discriminatory view on other people. So you have one group that wants to prevent another from exercising a freedom, while on the other hand you've another group that simply wants every group to have that same freedom. I know that you may need some help, and some crayons, to see the distinction. But I always live in hope that someday you will learn to breath through your nose! Dude you'll have an easier time convincing a wall it's made of cotton candy than you will trying to hammer some truth into this guy's head. It's just best to point out when people like him lost and enjoy the aftermath
