I assume you meant "rather smoke a joint than drink."

I did the 'smoke then drink' thing in the old days. Got sick as a dog.

Some of us needed a second lesson, but we got it eventually.

Back in the day, I loved to drink a couple (maybe 4 beers) then smoke pot...really topped it off. But then I'd keep drinking and smoking...now and then. Oh and freezer cold Corona...no lime. (or St. Pauli's Girl) Most people don't know, lime was just to keep the bugs away.

No but since Modelo owns Corona, I expect it may be pretty good. I know Grupo Modelo is Corona, Modelo, and Pacífico all owned by the Belgian company Anheuser-Busch InBev but they wouldn't dare fuck with either one. (63% of the Mexican market and Corona is the highest selling import now in the US) HERE

You forgot to mention video games, majority of which focus on violence, war games, etc. I think 'they' have realized that most of these games serve as effective proxy to the spirit of intent, so good enough 'training' in that regard. Aside from the fact that drones operating in the middle east are 'piloted' by guys sitting in a double-wide trailer somewhere in Nevada. And yes, 'Predators' are what most of these drones are called.

You'd better spend your time elaborating how Trump will make America Great Again?

How does he return all those coal jobs to WV and KY, build a 2000 mile long wall, deport 11 million undocumented aliens, re-negotiate trade deals, defeat ISIS, cut taxes, rebuild American's infrastructure, imprison HRC, and repeal Obamacare?

You think? We've just "elected" a tantrum-thrower-in-chief, after all.

I assume that you haven't read any commentary by conservative people that have lived and worked with Obama before he became president. Nor would I expect you to do so. But, the general understanding is that Obama is the most thinned skinned person they've ever met. He just won't talk to you if you don't agree with his dogma.

Consider that while he was running for president he said he'd talk to anyone. Mainly referring to Iran, but saying anyone. And, in fact, the only people he hasn't and won't talk to are republicans. Instead he whines and calls them obstructionists. Before Obama, I couldn't imagine a president just saying "I won" and refusing to talk to anyone who didn't follow his "mandate." I know, for instance, the Civil Rights Act probably wouldn't have passed without LBJ twisting the arms of anyone who disagreed with his position. It's what should happen. If Obama wanted more cooperation from republicans he should have been calling every single congressman on the phone and not just talked to his side. He didn't.

Basically though, what has the bad-haircut guy done wrong so far ? He hasn't invaded anybody. He hasn't bombed any innocent civilians. He hasn't ( as far as can be proven) backed any terrorist organisations. He HAS spent a lot of money on the military and has made threats and rattled his sabre but it's said that a barking dog won't bite. So what has he done wrong ?

He spends a lot of money and effort exporting arms to people that don't have the Wests interest at heart.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Korea's_illicit_activities

The illicit activities of the North Korean state extend to the manufacture and sale of illegal drugs, the manufacture and sale of counterfeit goods, human trafficking, arms trafficking, counterfeiting currency, and other areas.[1][2] Many of these activities are undertaken at the direction of, and under the control of, the North Korean government, with their proceeds going towards advancing the country's nuclear and conventional arms production, funding the lifestyles of the country's elite, and propping up the national economy.[3]

Not to mention starving millions of his people. The left used to be concerned about genocide. Now, I guess, not so much.

So the fact that he doesn't salute is really neither right, nor wrong ? It's his choice to follow the older ruling of not saluting when not in uniform or when never having been in the military ?

I don't think there's been centuries of precedent. He is the Commander in Chief of the military and therefore all military people should salute him. Technically, it's against military custom for a civilian to salute. So the president has his choice of custom. Yet, the American people have always seen the presidents salute returned to active military as a sign of respect for what they do for him.

Kennedy and Johnson thought the Joint Chiefs were either "sons of bitches" or "motherfuckers" in that order. I doubt they saluted.

I was aware many president didn't salute when I said there wasnt centuries of precedent. I believe wayward found where the custom came from earlier.

Actually making it a requirement for citizenship

Almost all male U.S. citizens and male immigrants, who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service.

All male citizens. In fact one time while in college I noticed that my college made males entering college prove they had signed up before they were admitted. I was a little shocked and asked one of the guys in line if it was a federal requirement or a requirement of the college and was told it had to do with federal money to the college. I didn't investigate it further as i had been in the draft during the Vietnam era. Maybe someone here knows what's happening now.
