Of course, the leftist sex perverts are losing work over it. The rightist ones get a free pass to continue molesting whoever they like instead...

Greta75 -> RE: NBC Fires Lauer (11/29/2017 5:49:11 AM)

I wish they would release the details of exactly what did Matt Lauer do?

What kind of sexual harassment? Seems serious!

I had forgotten about Bill O

And one of your howler friends was just screaming that conservatives never lose work over it

(Whose side are you on, hag) [:D]

JVoV -> RE: NBC Fires Lauer (11/29/2017 6:03:14 AM)

Yeah, I'm gonna need to hear more details about Lauer.

Ok, that was fast...

https://pagesix.com/2017/11/29/matt-lauer-allegedly-sexually-assaulted-female-staffer-during-olympics/

Apparently raped a staffer during the Olympics in 2014, and she had enough evidence to get him fired.

Greta75 -> RE: NBC Fires Lauer (11/29/2017 6:12:43 AM)

What does "sexually assault" mean?

This sounds like physical molestation, that's even worst than verbal sexual harassment.

In terms of context, wish NBC release the actual details.

It's time for all companies to conduct training for men on how to behave appropriately when working around women! Like seriously...., then no excuse about whatever misunderstanding.

There should be company standard of behaviour to adhered to.

Like rule number 1: DO NOT TOUCH HER

Rule number 2: Do not compliment her body parts! Like don't say, nice boobs, nice figure, nice legs, etc Appropriate compliment should be non sexual like, "I see you had a new haircut, I like the new look!"

Rule number 3:Do not ever make sexual jokes

(I think those are the 3 main rules)

I dont have a side but the real victims. This isnt a left vs right thing. never has been, never will be.
But having posted that about ten times in the past couple of weeks doesnt seem to have registered with you.
Thats not my problem, thats yours.
again.

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/megyn-kelly-addresses-matt-lauer-i-have-been-at-another-news-channel-where-this-happened/
As the media world continues to reel from NBC’s firing of TODAY host Matt Lauer, his colleagues have begun remarking on the scandal, with co-hosts Savanah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb calling the news “heartbreaking.”

A recent addition to the TODAY roster, Megyn Kelly, also took some time out to address Lauer’s termination, which was allegedly due to “inappropriate sexual activity” on the part of the host.

“This one does hit close to home,” she said. “I too have known Matt for a long time, and he has been a friend and kind and supportive to me in my transition to NBC News and I see the anguish on my colleague’s faces.”

Kelly delivered her remarks with gravitas, reminding viewers that this moment isn’t exactly about Lauer, but rather his victim or victims.

“When this happens what we don’t see is the pain on the faces of those who found the courage to come forward,” she said. “We don’t see the career opportunities women lose because of sexual harassment or the intense stress it causes a woman dealing with it.”

“I am thinking of those women this morning and hoping they are okay. The days to come will not be easy.”

Of course, Kelly left Fox News amid sexual harassment scandals involving the deceased Roger Ailes and disgraced anchor Bill O’Reilly. She has gone on the record saying that Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her early in her and that she complained of O’Reilly’s predatory actions to top brass, with her complaints falling on deaf ears.

So, did she mention her time at the conservative news network while discussing Lauer?

Yeah, she sure did. Fox News first came up as Kelly gave a brief overview of the many sexual harassment scandals that have been popping up in recent months.

“As painful as this moment is for so many here at NBC today, at CBS earlier this month, at Fox News over the last year,” she said. “It is a sign of progress, of women finding their voices, their courage and the erosion of a shameful power imbalance that has been in place for far too long.”

Her time at the network came up again toward the end of her remarks, in which she seemed to address Fox News directly.

“A final note, I have been at another news channel where this happened, as you know” she said. “My experience is a news organization is bigger than any one person. They all face challenges. They all stumble, but the good ones stay standing and forge forward fulfilling their core mission, journalism.”

You're really an idiot if you think companies don't have rules like this already. Just try to follow the logic here...

Someone does something that isn't against company ethics and work rules. That someone can't be fired for it.

Now, Matt Lauer allegedly did something and he got fired for it. What makes you think NBC didn't have rules that he broke by allegedly doing whatever?

FFS, you're thick as a fencepost.

I actually think that most companies do not have these rules in place at all. If there was, alot more men should be fired. These are frequent broken rules by men at work places. All three of them! That's why I brought them up.

Men and women. I have seen as much harassment by women as by men.

Over here, the scale is majorly tipped over for harassment from men. The problem in companies is, if the woman complain, she is seen as trouble maker, getting upset over small thing. And most of the time, these type of harassment comes from the highest level. Which makes it worst, since HR reports to him.

As women are mostly conservative and not forward and would never harass men here. Unless it's like a scorn ex-lover or something. But work place, as work colleagues or boss to employee. Like they do not compliment men appearances at all. If they compliment, it's always work related. They do not talk about sexual anything. And they certainly do not touch.

Men got the this uber big problem of making comments on female appearances here. Like, "I think you will look prettier if you wear a skirt!" That is for me already a sexual harassment comment. But he won't get in trouble for it.
