I didn't get dirty with anyone on this thread, with the exception of a passing comment about gooddogbenji, who can never resist posting a negative comment when Tre Swank is the OP.  I don't come to the forums for the purpose of making anyone upset.  Most of the time, I either want to say something that needs to be said, or do a little bit of venting, in a facetious manner, of course.

Even Level, who says that he really doesn't see eye to eye with me on most issues, is perceptive enough to see the incongruities between what alot of these women are saying, and what actually happens.

I think that society has pushed a message of "You don't have to be responsible for your own actions, or own up to any semblance of emotional maturity, if something bad has happened to you", and I believe that women have caught on fairly quick.

I don't agree with Tres very often, but on this I do. I simply do not believe that such a huge number of fathers, or men in general, are molesting women/girls. Of course it happens, and far, far too much, but  come on.

I was one of these girls that ran with the "bad" girls and misunderstood girls because I was hurting after the death of my father. I was the only virgin in the group I ran with, and all had been sexualized by an important male figure in their lives, an uncle, a father, or a stepfather.. it is creepy.. my sister has also known many women who have been through this. My son's girlfriend was taken from her family because of this.. it is fucked up, but I totally believe the stats, and I have seen this in my extended family as well, including my own mother. Like I said, I am blessed to have escaped.. totally blessed.

Girls don't think that any man has the chutzpah to call them out on these ridiculous stories.  Of course, some women are molested in their household, but, once again, I think that this phenomenon has been blown WAY out of proportion by emotionally unstable individuals.  We all would like to find some skeleton in our closets that we could project our shortcomings onto, but some of us will take on reality with raised fists, rather than make up stories.

What caused this emotional instability?

The media, bad parenting (without sex abuse), lack of direction or guidance, drugs, etc.

Wow, why all the denial? I am sure some women lie about such things, but it is hardly something most would tell a guy on a date. What happens if it works out and you meet their father one day, then what?

I forgot, my exhubby, his first wife was diddled by her father. He found out only a couple of days before he said "I do" and it wasn't her that told him, someone else did. Gosh, it is so common it is just ubiquitous. I mean even the bible talks about Lot doing his daughters, using alcohol as an excuse

But in the biblical passage, the person in question was intentionally intoxicated and seduced BY HIS DAUGHTERS for the purpose of bearing children.  Don't twist biblical passages to prove a point (although I doubt that you did it intentionally)

Tres, why do you hate women so much?  You always seem to put them down.

I don't hate women.............on the contrary, I love women.  I love women enough to try and keep their bullshit in check. What kind of women float Tre Swank's boat?  Mostly non-pretentious women, who aren't slaves to mercurial emotions or pycho-babble.

"nor am I interested in listening to the poetry that you "Never read to anybody."  When you're done reading it, I'm not gonna congratulate you and tell you how fine and dandy it is...............you're just gonna encounter an awkward silence, and I'm probably going to change the subject."

Bad poetry is a two way street, bucko! (in my best Richie Cunningham voice).  I have to agree with Tre with this particular peeve. If you (male or female) are not Shakespeare, Dickinson, or Frost, your poetry should be kept to oneself unless by request (situations and desires vary).  95% of the time, if it was not published prior to 1963, i will politely pass.
Thanks for bringing up that point up.

As far as molestation, of course, i despise the predators and those who seek unwarranted attention, but NEVER the victims.

Ya know, I don't really have the time or inclination to read this entire thread. However, to the Dear OP, you are very very very VERY not alone. Despite having lived in SoCAL for 7 long years and being bombarded with constant I'm-ok-you're-ok-even-if-you're-a-fucking-MORON messages from every conceivable medium during that time, there are a few Nikki Franklins in my life. For a long time, I tried really hard not to hate them, and to just accept that they too are humans, fully deserving of... fuck that!!! I'm right there with you.

Kudos for telling it like it is!

actually I did it on purpose, but of course he told God that his evil daughters were responsible

I think that starting a thread that's meant to be a tribute to "stupid bitch" bashing is wothwhile.  Here's another example of the shit that I have to put up with.

I have a sincere, unabashed belief that women all read the same "How to Bullshit and Get Men to Feel Really Bad for You" handbook.  At one time in my life, I went on dates with FOUR GIRLS IN A ROW who all told me, from the beginning, that they had "things about their past" that haunted them.  I didn't really try to dig deeper into the issue, because I REALLY didn't want to be the "victim" of some gal's embarrassing self-revelations.  I was pretty much shit out of luck, because, despite the aura of complete apathy that I was trying send out there, ALL OF THEM "confessed" to having been molested by their fathers when they were younger.

I've got all of the sympathy in the world for woman who REALLY WERE the victims of sexual abuse....................but once I hear it from SO MANY girls in a row, you seriously start to doubt the validity of something like that.  If there were as many girls getting molested by their dads as women claim, there would be a serious national crisis going on right now.

The moral of all this?  DON'T BE FUCKING STUPID.  If I go out with you, I don't want to hear about bogus molestation, or your "firm"  dedication to vegan-paganism, nor am I interested in listening to the poetry that you "Never read to anybody."  When you're done reading it, I'm not gonna congratulate you and tell you how fine and dandy it is...............you're just gonna encounter an awkward silence, and I'm probably going to change the subject.

This may be true, but you might want to add that many men have read the companion book "I have no self-respect, so I will go out with women who treat me like crap, and I will take it."

Now that we know what you won't do when dating a woman, I wonder what you would offer a woman (besides instant vaginal moistness, as your profile so eloquently states).  What would a date with TreSwank look like?

Be well,
Julie

julia, I know it happens, but call it male intuition, but I just don't think it happens as often as some state.

I think that it's less of a question of what you do, as much as, who you do it with.  Tre Swank likes old-fashioned date ideas, like going to movies or restaurants, or out for drinks.  The only catch is that, unless you're REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY interesting or provocative, he probably won't call you back unless you put out.

Alot of women out there are just so fucking BLAND.  I go to extreme lengths to try and provoke or cause some sort of interesting discussion during dates.  Where the hell do smart girls hang out at (besides CollarMe.)?
