Status: offline 		bullcrap! i have replied twice saying that ETHNIC APPEARANCE doesn't matter to me! now if you would re-read my responses again you would get the answer you seek. once again for those still reading hook on phonics - this Fearless reviewer doesn't give a gawd damn about APPEARANCE ...i'm NOT a fashion critic ...and NO i don't skim over any part of your replies as well as domiguy's as you naturally assumed. it's all about the TALENT and MUSIC with this critic and if you don't have both - be prepared to get panned by me.

Because we don't agree with all her views, we are in fear of being persecuted by our own race? 
 
C'mon now. be an openly gay black man in the community.  We all got Toms and Oreos and all kinda things.  Black folk will do you just like cracker folk, they can be cruel and unremitting in many circumstances.

One more time....You don't do it because it is not relevant....Why then defend the actions of someone who feels that it is?

You have to bear the responsiblities of your words....IF YOU WERE TO BASE A REVIEW BASED SOLELY ON SOMEONE'S APPEARANCE....THEN I WOULD IMAGINE YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO FACE THE REPERCUSSIONS....Is this making any sense to you yet?

I am not irritated.  My feathers don't ruffle quite so easily.
 
Please go back and read what I was responding to.  XahleenaX said that Sambamanslilgirl had  terms that most black people reject for fear of being persecuted by our own race.  It was a question I asked based upon a statement she made.

Status: offline 		yes i got you point the first 2 times, domiguy, for last freakin' time northsider, i would NEVER write garbage like that, i would NEVER describe anyone like that, and i would NEVER write about anyone appearance. sheeeeeeeeesh, why are you so hung up if i would write about their appearance? i don't - are you getting the point now?  i'm not into fashion or how they wore their hair ...if they're nappyheaded, dreadlocked wearing hiphop artists. my readers (and bosses) are more interested in the music and performance - all other stuff is minor details that doesn't get printed. 

it wouldn't happened because i wouldn't allow it - it's not my writing style.  if Fearless Radio wanted someone who only wrote reviews based on the band's appearance and not the music, then they would have hired any fashion critic off the street around Chicago. HOWEVER since it's all about the music here, then that's what the bosses get - honest reviewing sans the appearance critique about the band's performance. i face reprecussions no matter which band i review, domiguy. 

have i satisfied your curiosity now?

edited because some people just don't get it - i'm not a freaking fashion critic.

I believe that you are being dishonest when you say that....I believe that you would be pissed.  You are upset about the perception that "whitey" has to at all times watch what is being said....I would guess that you have much deeper issues than simply what Don Imus said or the repercussions that he will endure.

I never said I was leaving it alone.  I said I wasn't going to respond to her anymore.  If you go back and look, I have only responded to Domiguy and Mnottertail since making that statement.  If you want to attack me on something I have said...first of all quote me correctly then do your homework to back up your attacks.

IM SAYING that most African-Americans know the exact same thing samba is saying yet wont say it becouse they know they will be labelled a "racist" by their own race...Another point being that most African-Americans want sympathy for the "slavery" of their ancestors when I believe its in the 40-50% range (will have to research that, believe I heard that percentage once) are handed almost everything to them and when they turn out to be criminals, in prison, or dead they called out "racism" becouse they turned out "bad". Everyone in this country is handed a free educationa nd with the benefits of financial aid all have the opportunity to go to college, so yes i get tired of the bitching of how there is still so much racism in America...and Al Sharpton wanting all the sympathy for Himself when Don Imus shouts out a comment about "nappy headed hoes" oh gosh the world is going to End... but as Samba is saying a Black Man could say the same thing only equvalent to a "white womans hair" with a hoe or bitch thrown in the end and it would be no big deal ... SO yea perhaps I do live in a "bubble" as you say but I know many Americans who are in this same lil bubble with me

Status: offline 		If you feel my remarks are proving her point so be it.  I happen to feel that she picks out hot buttons to use as proof to her statements and doesn't take the whole account into consideration.  This is not a private posting.  Everyone in the world can read it...even her.  

Why don't you comment on the OP rather than hijacking the thread...  Oh I forgot.  It's about Free Speech. 

Before a moderator feels the need to come in and put a stop to the arguing.  I will digress and leave it alone now.

You bich that "whitey" has to watch his words while black people can spew all they want.....Don Imus if you didn't notice hosts a nationally televised program....I would imagine that if three or for black men commented on your daughter and hurled insults at her you would rip right out of your lilly white bubble and grab you some lynchin' rope.

There is no way possible, after reading the tone of your posts, that you would sit idly by while black dudes referred to your daughter on national television as a white trash slut, with a flat ass, who looks like she just came out of a trailer park.   You would be sooooo Pissed off!!!! Contacting everyone possible to have them removed....

I think you are dishonest, I think this has little to do with free speech, but how you are so worried about what "whitey" can or can't do....It is after all "our" country....Those damn Mexicans, Asians and Blacks are only here cause we are nice enough to tolerate their existence.
