Last night was Step Aerobics, good workout. Very fast paced but the last 15 minutes are always the hardest routines! [>:]

I've decided to go to the gym classes on M, W & F's and on Tues, Thurs Sat & Sun's I'll be training for the 10k in Oct.  Thankfully I enjoy walking/running in the hot weather!

You don't believe in off days do ya? We expects yuz to bring us back a trophy.

What kind of treadmill is it impy? I'm trying to decide if I want to get one. It would make something easier.

Gold's gym GG480... I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it automatically runs for 30 mins if you want to go longer you have to stop and then start again. The only problem this causes is that you lose all of you workout info so you have to remember how many miles you have done etcc. Oh and when it says easy one person set up... That's not true!

With all that running I'm sure you'll win.

I've been sticking to 4 miles total this week. I do two with the normal dog walk and then 2 on the treadmill. I did 1 minute sprints and three minutes of walking for 2 miles. I got a little bit dizzy today and yesterday so I decided I'd just stay at 2 miles on the treadmill for this week. I felt the sprints in my core though so that was fantastic!!!

I wouldn't start jogging until you pin down the causes of your dizziness. You sure you're getting enough water?

Oh yes, plenty of water. The doctor can't seem to pin down what's wrong. I keep getting told stress, but truth be told all the stress in my life is gone. Although, I suspect it might be something to do with low blood pressure the doc doesn't seem concerned. Last time they checked it it was 97/60 and that was after a particularly salty meal. Maybe, it's okay.

Remember? I take a piece of paper and pen and put it in one of the little cubbies on the machines I work out on, easier on the head.. least easier on my head. [:D]

Well I guess if he isn't that concerned it should be alright.

Nope, not a "twue" runner, too hard on my knee so I can't go faster than a 12-minute mile.  The guys/dolls in the race run 5 minute miles so it's off to the trophy shop I go! [:D]
No worries on my part because it's a great workout!  Last night I did 3.5 miles w/the dog.
Tonight it's my 3-2-1 class.[sm=boxer.gif][sm=hyper.gif][sm=weightlift.gif]

How much sleep do you get at night? Perhaps you need more of that?
When i go night after night without a decent amount of sleep i get dizzy, thats happened a few times. So then i try to get more sleep and it stops. [sm=sleepy.gif]

impishlilhellcat -> RE: The *NEW and IMPROVED* CM Biggest Loser/Health and Fitness Thread! :D (8/3/2011 11:06:19 AM)

I have actually been sleeping more than I ever have. When I started working 3rd shift I couldn't sleep during the day so I started averaging about 6 hours a day. I did that for over a year. Then at the end of June I just started feeling dizzy. I went to the doc and told her I have this pain in my left side it feels like a running cramp, but it gets worse after I eat and i am feeling dizzy and the dizziness is increasing. There is some other little stuff too. At the time I was driving 4 hours a day to and from work and averaging about 55-60 hours a week at work. Plus, work wasn't a pleasant place to be (boss from hell in all aspects). So, they decided it was stress and took me off work for a week. She wanted to run tests, but took her sweet time and took me off work for two more weeks. SHe literally had me scheduled for 3 tests until the 12th of August one per week and wanted me off work till she had the results. Work said I could have the time off I needed to get better and then at the end of the second week off and at the beginning of the third week off they came back and said I had too many absences and they were going to have to let me go. (not because I was sick though, but because I was gone). So, at that point the stress was gone. I went back to the doc a few times and she literally blew me off and said it was stress. Now that the stress is gone I'm still getting dizzy and the pain is still there. Unfortunately we are having some issues getting me on my husbands insurance at the moment open enrollment and such and I may have to pay out of pocket for Cobra for a month or until we get this settled. Plus, I need to find a new doctor. Mine didn't do any of the simple tests like a blood test for example. In fact now that I think about it she didn't take me very seriously at all. I should have been much more of a force to reckon with. Sorry way long explanation that was wasn't needed to answer the sleeping question. [8D]

Have you tried outside tracks with a sort of mesh/ dirt compound? It's a lot softer of a run.

Thank you, I did do that last year & hated every minute of running on the track. Very boring, much like the treadmill.  I just hate running period.  After this 10k is over that'll be it for me.  I enjoy power walking!  Yeah baby!!

I've been eating a little bit better now that I'm back to the normal grind. Still have a hard time with figuring out what to take for lunch, by the time lunch rolls around I never want I brought with me. I did get out and walk around the school today for a little bit, it's helped my back after having to sit in meetings all day. Tomorrow I'm going to try and do a biggest loser workout video.

You might try doing good mornings to help with your back. Eat your lunch. You could pack 2 or 3 different things so you have more if a choice.
