Had to stop in Gary and get a tire fixed. Had a choice of getting something off the taco bell fresco menu or the fish place across the street. Went for the catfish and fries. Needed the carbs to break things up. I've been keeping them low all week.

My traps are sore as hell. They were supposed to be sore yesterday. And there I thought I escaped.

Blacksword, My workouts right now are mostly cardio nothing specific just cardio every day. Until i rejoin a gym that's about all i am doing.  I am also painting and moving around my apt, so am getting exercise there also.  One of my friends is trying to get me to join the Zombie 5K fundraiser for the Nshville rescue mission on Oct 29 here in Nashville, where zombies chase the participants etc.  It sounds like a lot of fun.  So i may have to take up from couch to 5K soon.

I was so VERY discouraged this AM when the scale showed no improvement whatsoever but it's so obvious that I'm losing inches vs. pounds.  After remembering Ron blasting scales in the last "Biggest Loser" thread I looked online to find out WTF is this all about & am now happy & convinced that losing inches beats losing pounds any day of the week & twice on Sunday! [:D]

Scales only are beneficial if you can put them in perspective.  Personally, i don't think people should wait days or weeks to weigh in on them but instead utilize them daily to see where their patterns form and use inches and clothes fits and body fat % to determine how they are really doing in the weight loss journey.

Inches and/or clothes fits  to me are a hell of a lot better than numbers on the scale because it means you are gaining muscle and losing fat.   VP, you may also want to get your body fat tested and then in 6 months get it tested and then every 6 months until you reach your preferred bodyfat %. 

Glad to see you placed it in perspective and didn't allow yourself to be negatively effected on your journey.

Thanks Blacksword for the video. I'll be trying them starting tomorrow, but I think I will start without using weights and build up to them. I have issues with being able to stand up straight from a sitting position.

I figure I should post here because trying to take a decent photo for collarme was what led me to realise that the weight I'd gained during a not-so-pleasant period a few years back had to go, no question.

4 stone down as of today and planning a break soon. According to wikipedia my bodyfat % is just hovering on the edge of Average.

Yeah I usually buy my casein from them. They have some good stuff on there. But I usually comb thru the articles.

I love mapmyrun.com it's amazing for checking your route. I did two miles on the treadmill again. I had a good book and I cannot believe how fast the time flew.
