Maybe you missed this small fact, but ONE post does not qualify as "chattering on" -- where of course, YOUR HUNDREDS OF POSTS "sticking your nose in someone else's life" (which does NOT concern YOU and YOURS) would most definitely qualify as "chattering on".  Aren't facts fun?!! [:D]

Can we assume you won't be back until tomorrow night then?

I'm so Reformed the big issue in my life used to be "If Mickey Hart plays on Yom Kippur, do I go?"

No, that's NOT "how science" works.  See, in order to PROVE your hypothesis, you must provide your METHODOLOGY.

So do tell... what is your METHODOLOGY for detecting if a "soul" is present or not?!!

[:D]

The method is intuitively obvious to the most casual observer. Evil Twins are EVIL, and you can't hide the dead cats forever.

So NO METHODOLOGY to test/measure the existance of a "soul", then -- yeah, I didn't think so. [8|]

Thanks for playing. [:D]

Like 50 million unborn kids dead since 1973?!!

That would be about 1.3 million abortions per year induced by humans in the United States. Is that your argument? You have evidence for that? Statistics you can support?

As a comparison, For the general population of pregnant women, this is usually the most relevant statistic. About 15 to 20% of all women with a verified pregnancy will end up having a miscarriage.

In the same study that found 22% of conceptions fail to implant, it was also found that 31% of pregnancies confirmed after implantation end in miscarriage.

God does a hellova lot of abortions as well it would appear.

God's plan for humankind? God doesn't give a fuck?

Ummm... is abortion legal?!!  Yes!!!

So what does anyone's belief in the "soul" matter to you?!!

It is legal under certain circumstances...

So you're arguing in favor of partial-birth abortion, then?!!

I said no such thing. Nice try at strawmanning but an epic FAIL.

What is yours. Enlighten us. How can you prove that the thing called a "Soul" even exists?
Once you have done that, prove that it enters the egg at the moment of fertilization.
The law of the land has to be based on facts, not some hokum that a dude in robes preaches from a pulpit.

That "hokum" happens to be "gosple" and if you do not believe that hokum god is going to fuck you up...big time.
I have read the bible more than once (catholic school). Old testiment...new testament same same... believe the hokum or get fire and brimstone rained down on you or just rain for 40 days and 40 nights....then you will be cast into the abys of hell....
Loving god my ass.

Test: If there WAS a soul present at conception, then twinning at two weeks would result in one twin being born without a soul.

Test Results: NO TWINS are born without a soul. Or they all are. Either way, there's no cases where one has a soul and the other doesn't, and I invite you to present anything from any reputable scientific journal to the contrary.

Hypothesis sustained: There is no soul present at conception.

It's faultless logic I'll have to think about this.

I guess it proves that if a soul does exist it can be split in two, we also know from practice that there is always one evil twin and that triplets are a complete nightmare.

I don't see "Gospel" in the Talmud or Bible. Or are you talking about some crazy "new testament" or "book or mormon" or some shit?

And the "Loving god" of Jesus' dad gave up the Fire and Brimstone, or didn't your "church" bother teaching you that stuff?

So in summary, Hokum is polite for the bullshit passed off as Christianity.

Explicit Catholic Church doctrine is that souls are atomic and immutable. They CANNOT be split.

Perhaps there is a number of backup souls and in the event of the spit one of the backup souls gets transferred? I know I'm kind of clutching at straws.

Here's how Science works.

I wasn't aware that science had established a theory of souls, let alone developed a method to test for the presence of one.

In that case why would you install a soul in a blastocyst you knew would be aborted or miscarried? See, once you THINK about what these "Life begins at conception" nitwits are actually saying, it ALL falls apart.

That is, of course, the point. You don't make policy decisions based on the crazy religious rantings of some uneducated morons.
